The Youth hostel Dante, the nearest hostel to Forlì Airport and MIRABILANDIA, the cheapest and comfortable solution for your staying in Ravenna. Modern and comfortable, Youth Hostel 'Dante', named after the most important poet in the history of Italian literature (who was also buried here), is an ideal base for the exploration of Ravenna and its surroundings. Ravenna's churches are known the world over for their unique adornment in mosaics, a fascinating art form, whose history and beauty have a home in this city.
This intricate, ancient craft is evidence of Ravenna's position as 'The Door to the Ancient Far East': a crossroads of cultures, civilizations and history.
We are a member of the HI, Hostelling International, big international chain of youth hostels, therefore a membership is required. Tourists without the membership card can subscribe the Hostelling International card directly in the hostel.
For NON members from abroad the cost will be increased of 3 Euro per person per night directly in the hostel (for children under 8 years no membership is required). For italian non members the cost of the membership card is 3 Euro (individuals) or 3 Euro (for family units with children under 18 years old).

Very friendly and nice staff, pleasure to meet them!
Hostel itself is so-so about cleanliness, facilities (from 8 public showers only one somehow worked, others were pretty distroyed).
Nice breakfast. Basically all the area of reception and lobby kept well, clean and comfi.
Free WiFi and 2 public comp. in lobby.
Elevator (3+1 floors building).
Far from center - about 20 mins of fast walk to train station, and even longer to the center.
Supermarket in 50 m, but no facilities for self-catering, except of micro. Even no refrigerator.
At noon hostel closed for cleaning.
Free bicycles are avaliable.
And , once again - very nice ppl indeed!

The hostel was a bit far bfrom the town and not easily to get to mostly during the weekend (the bus went just once in 2 hours). Moreover there were no kitchen facilities to use, just posiibility to order pizza or go to mall cca 15 minutes away.
Otherwise was the hostel nice, clean, neat with no bunk beds.

It's a great place, I spent ten days last summer and I had a great time.
The hostel is located 15 minutes walking from the city center, 10 from the railway station, you can easily find a map on the hostel's website (you can find the website tapping in google ''hostel ravenna'', it'll pop up at first position).
The beach is easy to reach: there are buses leaving every 15 minutes during the summer season, the bus stop is about 100m from the hostel.I highly recommend this place, it's a good choice to visit a historical city and have fun at the seaside or at the theme park Mirabilandia. Last but not least, the staff is great!
