Our green cabin was very basic and the shower leaked. We stayed 4 nights and by the end of our stay the floor was covered in grit and there was no broom in the room so we had no way of sweeping it up. However, the camping ground is in a great location, the swimming pool was nice and we found the restaurant to be excellent, both its food and service, and the store provided reasonably priced essentials.
Sorrento is a great spot from which to explore the Amalfi Coast, visit Pompeii etc.

Der Ferienkomplex Campingplatz Santa Fortunata Campogaio mit einer Fläche von 200.000 m2, ist eins der schönsten Ferienkomplexe der Sorrent und Amalfi Küste. Eine Friedensoase mit einer wunderschönen Meditteranea Vegetation von Olivenbäume, Zitronenhaine und Eichenbäume.
Mit einen wunderbaren Ausblick auf den Golf von Neapel, den Vesuv und der naheliegenden Stadt Sorrent. Der Komplex befindet sich 1,5 KM vom Zentrum entfernt und ist sehr gut mit dem öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel verbunden, um die anderen Touristenorte wie Pompei, Positano, Amalfi , Neapel und Capri zu erreichen .
Preisgungstige Touristenlager mit einer Gemeinschlafkuche, jedoch separaten Duschen und Toiletten sind vorhanden. Die Kuche ist nicht mit Topfen und sonotigen Geschirr ausgestattet. Hutten und Wohnwagen fur 2,3 und 4 personen mit einfacher Ausstattung konnen gemietet werden, wobei Bettwasche im Preis inbegritten ist. Die Gemeinschaftkuche kann benuzt werden, an 8 Platzen kann gleichzeitig gekocht werden.
Der Platz erstrecht sich uber 150.000 mq, mit geraumigen Platzen fur Wohnwagen, Wohnmobile und Zelt. Im Schatten verschiedner Baume ist grosszugig Platz fur Touristnlager aller Art. In hellen freund lichen Raumen mit einem wunderwollen Blick auf das Meer erwarten Sie ein Minimarkt, ein Bar, sowie ein Pizza-Restaurant. Es gibt einen Swimming-pool und ein Solarium. Der charakteristische Felsstrand mit Blick auf den Vesuvio ist ca. 300 meter entefernt und wird uber einen schmalen schattigen Fussptad erreicht.
Pizza-Restaurant mit Touristen-Menue, Mini-markt, Swimming-pool, Felsstrand, Disco, Bar, zumieten: Auto, Motorroller, kleine Boote. Geldwechsel, Busfahrkarten, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Postamt und Tankstelle, Tauch-Center, InternetPoint, Taxi, Zeitungen und Zigaretten.
Tagliche Ausfluge: Capri (Busabout-Passagiere konnen den Ausflug direkt in dem Bus buchen, der von Rom kommt.), Positano-Amalfi-Ravello, Pompei-Vesuvio, Ischia, Paestum und Caserta-Cassino (Diese Ausfluge konnen direkt an der Rezeption des Platzes gebucht werden).

It's a short walk in to Sorrento from the camp site (just over 1 km.)
Try not to stay near the restaurant area, it is VERY noisy late at night, and also early in the morning when the cleaners clean up the mess from the night before.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
There are two beaches. Only one is open out of high season. find out which one is open before walking all the way there. The beach is a steep walk down a path. It is a flat rocky area. The swimming is nice - you jump in from the rocks and it's a bit of a scramble out - not for the elderly! No waves, warm water. Gorgeous view of Vesuvius. They close the beach if the wind blows as they feel it is not safe to scramble out in "bad" weather.

BY CAR
After taking the A2 Roma-Napoli, follow the signs to the Pensisola Sorrentina after taking the A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia and follow to Sorrento. After passing through the city of Sorrento, take the s.s. 145 towards Massa Lubrense, running along Via Capo. After about 1.5 km you will reach VILLAGGIO CAMPEGGIO SANTA FORTUNATA CAMPOGAIO, no. 39, in the area of Sorrento, called Capo Di Sorrento.
BY TRAIN
Arrive at the Stazione Centrale di Napoli "Piazza Garibaldi". On the basement floor take the "Circumvesuviana" to Sorrento. The journey takes about 1 hour after which you can take a taxi or public transport the blue 'Sita' bus, destination S'Agata Via Massalubrense, or the orange "circumvesuviana", Line A bus, destination Capo di Sorrento, which will take you to the front of the VILLAGGIO CAMPEGGIO SANTA FORTUNATA CAMPOGAIO building.
NB Tickets for Public Transport are obtained at the Sorrento Train Station.
BY AIR
From Naples Airport you can reach us by using the Curreri bus service, destination Sorrento, Piazza Tasso and then take one of the aforementioned buses, Line A or blue Sita or The Circumvesuviana, or you can ask us about our "Driver Transport" service, directly from Naples Airport.
