Hostel Posillipo is newly builted and located in the oldest and most beautiful part of Sarajevo, Bašcaršija.
It is only 10 meters walk from Bašcaršija's main tram-station, 15 meters from one of Sarajevo top monuments, Sebilj fountain (most popular fountain in Sarajevo, BiH maybe, with tons of pigeons flying around)..
All together with our hostel complex we have old-fashioned Bosnian resturant, where our guests can enjoy their free time, organize parties, eat old-Bosnian specialties, and other high quality food.
Place where you can meet other backpackers, from all around the world.

RSSPoor experience here, moved without explaination to private rooms outside of old town. I had spent time and effort trying to find rooms in old town only to be placed on edge of town in a building wit NO facilities.
It seems they are deliberately overbooking this as I had booked this well in advance, I had just undertaken a long journey to Sarajevo and didn't have the energy to look for a room that day and was not there long enough to waste time changing rooms .
Would not stay here again there's plenty more choice in the old town that has higher ratings.
It is easy to find, stay on tram number 1 after it double backs from the river round the back of the destroyed/redeveloping town hall/national library toward the old town and get off there. It's only twenty meters up the road on the right.

Thanks very much to Skender and everyone at Hostel Posillipo, they were extremely accommodating and friendly, the hostel was also very nice and in a great spot in the centre of the old town. You should take up the offer of the tour if you can, it is well worth it! I very much enjoyed sitting up and chatting with Skender about life, traveling and religion, overall a great experience!
