Great relaxed place. rooms are much cleaner than most hostels we have stayed in! no breakfast as advertised on the website but the rest makes up for it. Awesome hot showers a major luxury and the toilets supplied with toilet paper was a real treat for morocco! Bit expensive compared to other cities but average for Essaouira i think.

El hostal Essaouira es probablemente el mejor hostal donde jamás hayas estado!
Bienvenidos al 'Hotel California'; donde podrás entrar a cualquier hora pero nunca querrás salir!
Diseñado al tradicional estilo del Riad, pero con un toque chic, es probablemente el que más se merece el titulo de 'Boutique Hostal'; es más que un lugar para guardar las maletas pero no por eso más caro. Alrededor de un jardín central podrás disfrutar de un fuego bajo, cocina donde cocinar y bar a tu entera disposición; pon música, DVD, leer un poco, chequear tus e-mails todo incluido en el precio excepto tus cervezas!
Te hará sentirte como en casa rodeado de amigos. Ideal para viajeros jóvenes que lleguen a Essaouira tanto en grupo como en solitario. Disfrutarás de barbacoas, parties, clases de kite surf, salidas a pescar, caballos, camellos sólo tienes que decírnoslo y te ayudaremos!
Estarás entre amigos y te sentirás acogido, sin reglas y con total libertad para entrar y salir! El propietario y el manager son leyendas del surf siempre dispuestos a pasar un buen rato, al estilo 'Auberge Español'.
Esperemos que disfrutes de la estancia y te sientas como en casa!

Essaouirako Medina zaharraren barruan kokatutako hostala da. Bidaiari gazteentzat egina eta Marokoko estetika tradizionalean eraikia. Leku aproposa lagun artean erlaxatu eta ondo pasatzeko!Lorategi txiki baten inguruan, su baxuarekin eta taberna txiki batekin bertako sukaldean janaria prestatu eta bertako jendearekin giro onean egun batzuk pasatzeko leku aproposa. Musika entzun, DVDak ikusi, bertako jabe diren Marokoko surf legendekin surfeatu, zaldi zein gamelutan ibili ... galdetzea besterik ez daukazu, laguntzeko prest baikaude beti eta jende euskalduna atsegin dugu!

Great relaxed place. rooms are much cleaner than most hostels we have stayed in! no breakfast as advertised on the website but the rest makes up for it. Awesome hot showers a major luxury and the toilets supplied with toilet paper was a real treat for morocco! Bit expensive compared to other cities but average for Essaouira i think. was very quiet at night ( no street or medina noise) but guests tend to party and play music sometimes so make sure this is your thing! Tricky to find initially (taxi drove us from bus station and left us with no directions of medina) but once inside the medina it is sign posted if you get to the right area or a helpful local can show you the way! Overall one of the best hostels in Morocco!

Fantastic little hostel! Unassuming, possibly a little difficult to find, but when you do, it's a hidden oasis right in the middle of the medina. Clean cosy rooms, free wifi, fireplace and a library of guidebooks. Make sure you go up to the roof top for a drink at sunset or check it out at sunrise. Such great value- would definately go back

If you are in supratour bus stop, all you have to do is follow the black line on the map. Enter through BAB MARRAKECH (entrance to medina) walk straight down and turn RIGHT into 'Rue Ibn Khaldoun' Walk straight down until you see the sign of the hostel; turn RIGHT into Rue Laghrissi. The hostel is then on a small cul de sac approx 15m down on the left. The hostel is at the end on the right.
If arriving from BAB DOUKALLA entrance to the medina ; walk straight down the main street Avenue Zerktouni. Turn LEFT into Rue de Bagdad. Walk straight down until the end and turn RIGHT onto Rue Zair. Walk down until you see a telephone sign on your left; turn LEFT into Rue Laghrissi.
The hostel is then on a small cul de sac approx 15m down on the left. The hostel is at the end on the right.
If arriving at the BAB SBAA entrance to the medina; walk straight down Rue de Caire, at the end turn RIGHT onto the main street, Avenue de l'Istiqlal. take a RIGHT down Avenue Le Qouri (souk ouaka) towards bab marrakech. then turn LEFT into 'Rue Ibn Khaldoun' Walk straight down until you see a telephone sign on the right; turn RIGHT into Rue Laghrissi. The hostel is then on a small cul de sac approx 15m down on the left. The hostel is at the end on the right.
