El hostal le ofrece una cama, el desayuno, duchas calientes y un armario particular, por los mejores precios de la ciudad. Disfrute de un alojamiento limpio y cómodo, y de una atmósfera internacional. Le damos mucho para poco dinero, por eso, ¡el Shelter Jordan sin duda es el mejor lugar en el cual quedarse en Amsterdam!
El hostal está ubicado en el CENTRO DE LA CIUDAD, a sólo unos pasos de la estación de tren central. La mayoría de los lugares turísticos se encuentra a una distancia caminable del hostal.
El Shelter Jordan tiene CUARTOS masculinos o femeninos de 4 a 8 camas, y DORMITORIOS masculinos o femeninos de 12 a 20 camas. Los dormitorios grandes son divididos en áreas más pequeñas para darle la intimidad que necesita. Los precios incluyen el desayuno, las duchas calientes y un armario particular. Los precios empiezan a partir de 16 euros, por eso son las camas más baratas de la ciudad.
Para ese precio asequible, lo que le damos es mucho MÁS que una buena noche de sueño. El hostal no sólo tiene buenas instalaciones, pero también una atmósfera acogedora y calurosa. Todos los empleados hablan inglés, y le ayudaran con mucho gusto. El hostal tiene un patio y un café, donde puede beber y comer algo, relajar y encontrar a gente de todo el mundo, y utilizar el Internet.
Su ubicación, en el barrio quieto y pintoresco de Jordaan, hace que es muy fácil explorar Amsterdam. El hostal está cerca de la casa de Anne Frank y de las plazas Leidse y Dam.
Informaciones importantes:
• El hostal es libre de drogas, libre de alcohol, libre de humo (se pueden fumar cigarrillos en el patio).
• Hay dormitorios separados para hombres y mujeres.
• El toque de queda es a la 2 de la mañana (después de esa hora, ya no puede entrar. Las puertas abren de nuevo a las 7)
• Recomendamos nuestro alojamiento a personas entre los 15 y los 40 años.
• Utilizar el armario particular es gratis, pero tiene que pagar un depósito (completamente reembolsable) de 5 o 10 euros.
• Cobramos una comisión de 2 euros para las sábanas (necesario).
• Si quiere pagar pro tarjeta de crédito/débito en el hostal, le cobramos los 2% del precio más.
• Si quiere cancelar su reserva: llámenos o mándenos un correo electrónico antes de las 12 el día de su prevista llegada, si no, le cobraremos a su tarjeta de crédito el precio de la noche.
• Comparación con nuestro hostal hermano en Amsterdam, el Shelter City: el Shelter Jordan es más pequeño (104 camas), es acogedor, y está ubicado en una parte más quieta del centro de la ciudad.

Cancellation policy:
Cancellations (of part or of the whole booking) must be made online/by phone/email before midnight two days prior to arrival date. If any guests fail to do so or do not show up, one night’s stay is charged on their credit card. The same rule applies when an arrival date is changed online, by email or phone.
If this is the case you will notice on your credit card statement the following name: 'Tot Heil des Volks', which is the assocation that will charge your account on our behalf.
If you contact us to cancel your booking you must give your booking number (starting 643- ) and arrival date.
Example: you should arrive on Wednesday. To avoid being charged you need to cancel before midnight on Monday. Cancellations on Tuesday are too late and you will be charged for the first night.
Multiple booking policy:If the same name, e-mail or credit card is used in multiple bookings for a total of more than 8 people on the same day then we will apply our group payment and cancellation conditions to be found on www.shelter.nl
Bookings of up to 20 people are accepted via this site, for more people please e-mail group@shelter.nl
We reserve the right to cancel online groups of more than 20 people.
If the group booking is just for one night and is on a Friday, Saturday or one of the following dates around public holidays, then an extra charge of 5 euros will be made per bed booked: 21/24 April, 1 May, 1/2/9/12 June, 28/29 December 2011.

Very friendly welcome. Great location in the centre of Amsterdam. It may look a bit expensive but great breakfast is included. A few computers with veeeeerrrrrryyyyyy slow internet connection. It is a Christian hostel, but not in-your-face Christian: there are bible readings and prayers for those who seek it, but if you don't: you're just as welcome.

this is avery nice and clean hostel. but it might be a little bit too expensive. but if you book in time you can get it cheaper! overall a very good hostel with kind personal staff.

Hotel Jordan is an easy to reach location about 15 minutes walk from the Dam Square walking in almost a direct line, and is only a few minutes with the tram.
The facilities are kept clean, and there is a large bathroom on each floor. There is excellent facilities to keep your belongings safe, a personal locker, and a room next to the reception where larger belongings can be stored. Despite this, there seems to be a relaxed atmosphere between workers and guests, and not too much concern about theft, although precautions are taken.
The Cafe is both a dining room and a lounge, drinks being sold through the evening and also small snacks for a reasonable price. The volunteers at the hostel live on site and spend time in this cafe too both working and just spending the evening. As such, this hostel is a nice place to spend some time awake at, and not just sleeping after a day of exploring the city.
I would recommend this hostel, and will be sure to return there in the future.

The hostel is well located and that was my main reason for chosing it - The room was clean and the bed OK - washroom and toilet were good too - I had the cold breakfast which was a bit disappointing - the one with pancakes looked more substantial
My critisism concerns the staff - as the hostal has a no smoking and drinking policy - on the night I stayed I returned to my room in the evening to find the room full of dope smoke and a semi conscious room mate on his bed next to a half emptied bottle of red wine - and a whole stash of unsmoked weed - it was virtually impossible to breath - and an other younger room mate was looking very sheepish - On reporting all of this to the reception staff - someone came up to the room, removed the offending articles but made no offer to move any of the other residents into another room - consequently we had to spend a freezing cold night with the windows wide open
The next day after checking out - I returned to the hostel to pick up my bag which I had left in the [so called] secure baggage room - my co resident found that his bag had been moved and his laptop had been stolen - despite the fact that the reception desk is right opposite - when I asked if I could go into the cafe area to exchange addresses I was told that this was not allowed since I had already checked out - my friend was upset about the theft and was shown very little sympathy - and directed in the direction of the nearest police station - since my train journey was 2hours later I was literally walking around in the rain for the next 2hoursby all means stay at this hostel for it's location and cleanliness - if you are a Christian even better - but in my opinion don't expect to find much Christian spirit
Its a very nice hostels, clean and with great facilties... but be aware of the fact that it is a christian hostel... so is verey different from the city enviroment. I admit it was quite strange to be in a hostel like jordan in amesterdam.
if you are looking for a quiet( girls one floor, boys in another) , clean and nice hostel, jordan is the place.

Very central; clean and safe place; muesli breakfast very nice; also a hot breakfast option looked good; some groups of people were noisy, so its not always quiet at night;
