My wife and I had just arrived in Veliko Tornovo and were searching for the guesthouse where we'd booked accomodations. We stopped for directions outside of The Loft and the owner (?) came out and began trying to convince us to stay at The Loft. We declined politely since we had other accomodations and he continued to badger us, bullying us more aggressively each time we said 'no'.

Ubicado en la zona más atractiva de Veliko Tarnovo, El Hostal Loft ofrece una espectacular vista del centro histórico así como de la parte más moderna de la ciudad y está a tan sólo 3 minutos andando desde la zona más típica de los bares y clubs de la grande Tarnovo. El hostal está perfectamente situado con unas vistas hacia la animada avenida principal y posee un carácter particular con la entrada localizada en una encantadora calle peatonal de adoquines donde empieza la gran vía de los artesanos de la ciudad. Es aquí donde tu puedes encontrar los artesanos trabajando y ver muchos oficios que todavía hoy perduran usando las técnicas más tradicionales para producir la típica artesanía búlgara.
El Hostal te ofrece la oportunidad de conocer compañeros de viaje de todas las partes del mundo. Nosotros ofrecemos habitaciones de 6 y 8 camas así como habitaciones dobles. Hay una espaciosa sala de estar en el centro donde podrás relajarte y tomar una cerveza o dos, ver la televisión, escuchar música o hablar con tus nuevos amigos. También hay una preciosa cocina completamente equipada a tu entera disposición y limpios y luminosos baños.
El personal jóven y afable del Loft te ayudará a gozar de una increible y satisfactoria experiencia en Veliko Tarnovo. Ellos són viajeros con mucha experiencia y saben lo que tu estás buscando del Hostal. Te ayudarán con toda la información que necesites y si tu quieres te mostraran la maravillosa vida nocturna que hay también en Veliko Tarnovo.

We stopped for directions outside of The Loft and the owner (?) came out and began trying to convince us to stay at The Loft. We declined politely since we had other accomodations and he continued to badger us, bullying us more aggressively each time we said 'no'. At last he walked away in a huff, and when he had gone only a few paces he turned back to us and called us "Stupid f*cking Americans", simply because we did not want to stay at his place. I would never set foot in the establishment of someone so unneccessarily rude.

Indicaciones
**You can take OK taxi or inter taxi for relatively cheap from anywhere. Tell them to go to 'Stratilat' Cafe. We are up the small stairs next to the cafe.
From the southern bust station (avtogara yug):
Walking: (The hostel is about a 10-15 minute walk from this station) As you exit the bus station, turn left on the main street. Continue about 5 minutes up the road. At that point you will see the Tourist Information Center on the right-hand side. Continue pass the Tourist Information Center (DO NOT TURN RIGHT DIRECTLY AFTER THE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER) and turn right at the post office on the corner. You will be on the mail street. Continue along the main street about 7 minutes. On the left-hand side you will see the beginning of a cobblestone road that veers to the left. Look up high and you will see an orange sign from our balcony that says Hostel. Continue along this cobblestone street about 50 meters. At the beginning of this street where you see a cafe (it is called Stratilat) you will see a small set of winding stairs on the left. Walk up these stairs. After 20 meters you will see the hostel on your left.
note: Once you make it to the Tourist Information Center, they will immediately help you to find us!! Please mention that you are looking for THE LOFT HOSTEL. They can call us and we can come meet you to guide you to the hostel.
