When we arrived they wanted to put us on the 5th floor with no elevator we said we would leave and we got the second floor. Friendly staff at front counter. No soap or bottled water supplied. Lack off hot water at times (couple of cold showers). No hot water tap at sink. No security box.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during September 2009. I had a single room but it was very nicely equipped with a TV, Bar fridge, Fan and Aircon as well as a very nice bathroom with shower only.

The Location is very good, as it is right where all the action is and close to most attractions, BUT in a quiet side-alley, so one could sleep peacefully. To older people, consider the fact that there is no lift but only a steep staircase, so ask for a room on a lower floor.

Everything was spotlessly clean, but the most commendable fact is the excellent service and helpfullness of the hotel Manager. Tours and Taxi's booked was immediately done and confirmed and he was so helpful and friendly in recommending tours and with other information as well. Everything worked, was on time and all with a smile.

The breakfast offered is simple and more of a "Continental" nature, but sufficient to get one started for the day. There are hundreds of small street restaurants in the immediate vicinity to grab something more substantial.

I will return to Vietnam and Bich Duyen will surely be my place to stay at again. Excellent location, value for money and friendly service.

The place is pretty good. The lane where it is located may seem a little dingy initially, but u realize later that the location is very good. Chanh(the person at the reception) is really helpful, though don't expect him to be a full fledged tour guide. The room itself is small and suitable for one person with a TV and private bathroom with a hot shower. I was travelling alone and enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast is there just for the sake of it and not that exciting. Thumbs up overall. :-)

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I only spent one night initially, but they arranged for a pick-up at the airport, provided maps, carried my luggage up the 4 floors to the room, arranged for a taxi to the airport the next day, and offered advice. I then stayed with upon leaving VN, and they again were fantastic. They even held my luggage and computer while I jaunted to Cambodia, and arranged for an alternate hotel when I came back, since they were booked solid. And took me and my luggage over there on a motorcycle. The breakfast was good enough and comes with the room.

There is no lift, but the porter service helps...

I guarentee I will stay there again next year, and I encourage anyone to give them a try.

I really enjoyed my stay in Bich Duyen Hotel, the reception was excellent for booking tours and very helpful with excellent English, free breakfast in the morning was very good and a beautiful clean room, I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend to stay in.

TP needs more stars to indicate the outstanding service at the Bich - Chanh, the manager is nothing less than EXCELLENT! No elevator here, and you must remove shoes, but it's a small price to pay for such a nice guesthouse. THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN THE PHAM! Chanh treats all his guests like close family members (you just have to help him with his English - he has problems with his "J" sound - practice "juice"). Rooms are plain but all have windows and are super clean. The location is in the heart of the Pham, and if it's booked, try the Blue River next door - also excellent.
