It’s about 5 minutes walking from Hong Han hotel to Ben Thanh market, and 15 minutes walking from Hong Han hotel to The Central post office, The Notre Dame Cathedral, The reunification Hall, Ho Chi Minh museum ( Nha Rong port ), Sai Gon river, War museum…
We have 9 rooms, large, clear and very clean with all the facilities: air conditioning, fan, fridge, wardrobe, telephone, private bathroom with hot/cold shower and cable TV ( with HBO, Star movie, ESPN chanel… ), free internet, WIFI
Our team is young, whole hearted,friendly and we speak well English.

The location is nice, lots of bars, touroperators and shops. Excellent place to stay and start your travel through Vietnam.
It is clean, but it is a hotel in Vietnam and not in Europe. For Vietnamese standards it is a clean hotel, no complaints.
You do not need many facilities as a backpacker. Free internet access, proper bath room and a nice bed.
The service is good, arranging airport transfer, day trips with operaters and hotels in nearby cities.
Overall we were more than satisfied with our stay at Hong Han Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon)

The Hong Han Hotel is everything you could ask for in a budget accommodation property. The management go out of their way to assist with any request and the rooms are very clean and as comfortable as anything else in this category. We had some issues which required a Police Statement and Tu was good enough to escort me and act as interpreter while I completed the obligatory report. It seems everything is only a minute away as a request for currency exchange took 3 minutes before a motor scooter arrived with the required Dong amounts at a very competitive rate.
There is free internet access and breakfast included in the rate and while the AirCon is switched off during the day to keep costs down, it can be re-activated on request.
There is no lift and the stairs are nice and steep in the hot conditions but the exercise was beneficial.
If for nothing more than the staff and their enthusiasm this was an enjoyable experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Large room, frig, a/c, fan, cleaned daily, reasonably handy location, not far from the central market, plenty of eating places nearby. Very accommodating staff, a reasonable if unvaried breakfast, good value for money. The hotel is very new and modern. I WILL STAY THERE AGIAN SOMETIME.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well-located guest house where the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We asked for directions to a supermarket to buy a power adaptor ... and the management gave us a loan of one! They also equipped us with a map, suggestions for places of interest and information on organised tours - without any attempt at a 'hard sell'. Surrounded by a host of bars, restaurants and shops in the heart of the backpacker district so don't expect peace and quiet ... but the main tourist sights are well within walking distance. No lift - and we were 4 floors up - but our cases were carried for us on both arrival and departure. Fantastic value for money and we would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Overall this guest house is great. But unfortunately the location quite far from main street and downtown. It takes couple minutes walking from hotel to city centre. But for budget travel, this still acceptable.
Even only 1 night, the staff giving us marvellous assistance for anything !! They even don't mind to make a booking for our bus tour before we arrive in Saigon. It's really help us a lot, so we just have to deal with hotel staff. Trully great place to stay !!

Hong, the owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and bedding also clean and comfortable. Internet too slow to bother with.
The location of the hotel is close to almost everything, so if you want good, cheap hotel then you will be fine with this one. Very busy traffic for this narrow little street...but, that is Saigon (HCMC) overcrowded and polluted air, constant smell of petrol fumes.
Also note that this hotel is 4 stories high and without a lift. Would suit backpackers only.
I would stay here again but request a room at a lower level.
I also recommend this resteraunt .. 'PEARL'. It is around 5 min walk from this hotel. You can have a very nice meal from $3aud...45,000 DONG.

I recently travelled throughout Vietnam for two weeks,staying at various hotels and hostels. Hong Han Hotel was one of the most pleasant places I stayed at. It was great value for money,it was clean and well looked after and the staff could not do enough to help us out,whether it was fixing the air conditioning or organising tours.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Ho Chi Minh City,you won't be disappointed.

The rate quite expensive relatively.
During my stay at HCMC, I found that there many neighbouring hotels/guesthouses that provide much cheaper rate and with the same quality of services.
The rate for Hong Han should be between USD 16 and USD 18 per room per night.
