An An 2 Hotel, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam

All in all a bad place to stay at. There are loads of other hotels in the area of the An An 2 that you could try. Our first 2 nights were spent in an ok looking room, but underneath the mattress was a whole other world. Waking up on the second day we both had (no joke) hundreds of bed bug bites. Checked the room and found a colony of bed bugs living in and around the bed as well as cockroach eggs, spiders and termites. We went to complain, but I don't think the receptionist really understood what we were saying uintil we showed her our bites. Had to push for a little bit of compensation and ended up getting a room upgrade which wasn';t really satifactory given the situation. The room are good, but in the 3 rooms we moved from and to none of the side lamps worked, mini bar fridge didn't work and the remote to the tele didn't work. Cheap enough hotel, but I'm sure you can get a cleaner hotel with working ammenities for the same price in the area. Receptionist was friendly, house keeping were rude.

An An 2 was awesome as the people there were very nice and helpful. However, I could not get wifi connection from my room on the 8th floor. Overall, it was a great stay there.

Very helpful staff that can speak good English. The room was very clean and great working AC. The location was right in the heart of all the action in district 1. They do have a car service that can a little expensive but worth it if you come in to town after 5pm at the airport. I will be staying there again when I return to Saigon.

Hi Travellers,

My review is as follows:-

The hotel staffs service and hospitality is excellent. They can communicate well in English and on best effort to accomodate and help. This is rare and I wouldn't forget their sincere smile.

The bathroom, however, is small but clean. The bedroom is fine and equipped with cable TV services. There is a Travel Agent on the hotel basement as well. It is value for money, I would say.

There is a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants nearby the hotel (serving western food, mostly). Shucks .. I am Asian, I need to take rice.
That's not a problem, there are many Asian restaurants too.

As for Taxi, they operate 24 hours. Any time & any where.
Just wave your hands.

Will I come back again ?

I am overawed by the value for money quality that I am getting out from this newly opened budget hotel. The friendliness of the receptionist and the good location is a pulling factor for this hotel. In addition, there is a tour agency at its basement for you to book some local tours at a reasonable price. Its 10min walking distance to the famous Ben Tham Market and Night Market. The few complaints that I have would be the slight river odor that most hotel would experience anyway. Fantastic place!
