Acerca de Antonia Houseboat
About 1,5 km from the Central Station at a a quiet green street in the centre of the city we have a house boat with 2 rooms each with a double bed and linen. Each room has a TV and a radio/cd player. Shared shower and toilet. The two rooms share a kitchen with a gas cooker, microwave, refrigerator, washing-machine and dryer. There is also a shared computer with internet access available. It feels like a small apartment in Amsterdam. We offer free breakfast and free coffee and tea all day. The property is near the Central Station about a 15 minutes walk. Also easy to reach by tram. Bikers and walkers are especially welcomed.
For cars it is a dead end street with paid parking, as everywhere else in the centre of Amsterdam.

Antoniahouseboat es ideaaaaal para una estancia en Amsterdam. Las habitaciones son pequeñas pero las camas son grandes, tienen tele, minicadena, y tienes el espacio para tener tus cosas. la cocina esta bien equipada y el lavabo esta bien. Lo mejor es alquilar una bici porque no está en el centro, pero en bici son 5-8 minutos para llegar a la zona céntrica.
Nosotros estubimos una semana y nos lo pasamos genial. La verdad que estamos muy agradecidos por como nos han tratado alli.

We were thrilled with the location: being so close to Central Station and also to the Passenger Terminal for cruise ships, from which we embarked on our Baltic Cruise. The boat is comfortable and cosy - we enjoyed the large kitchen area. The bathroom was adequate but we would have liked soap for the shower that was more obviously for our usage and fewer personal toiletries of the owners (or other occupants?). It was great having easy access to internet. Overall, we would definitely return to Antonia Houseboat if we visit Amsterdam again.

We had a great time on the boat and it proved to be a very different experince than a usual hotel room. Sylvia the host is very gracious, friendly, particular about all things and helps to make the stay comfortable.
The rooms are very small and remember it is a boat so don't expect big spacious moving areas. The small porch is delightful with the ducks swimming around in the canal. The kitchen is ideal to make meals if you want to.
All in all a very pleasant experience and higly recommend it.

Excellent all round. We had a lovely stay and felt very welcome. Our hosts were delightful, and looked after us very well, making sure every day that we had enough breakfast and that all was well, but very discreetly. The location is perfect; the city centre is near enough, but the mooring area is quiet. You can also find a few good restaurants, friendly pubs and shopping facilities nearby (10 minutes max). We totally recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay on The Antonia Houseboat, there really can't be a better place to stay in the whole of Amsterdam. It was so nice being able to sit by the water, it was so quiet. Great hosts too, made it feel just like home. Thank you. Hugely recommended.

our stay on antonia houseboat was amazing from start to end! we were looked after really well- the woman who owned the boat even had homemade mushroom soup and fresh bread waiting for us when we arrived! the fridge was stocked up with loads of food everyday which was great. the boat was very cozy, comfortable and relaxing! i would highly recommend this place to anyone and look forward to staying there again. they really bent over backwards to make sure we had the best stay.

We stayed there for two nights and the best was the outdoor terrace above the water! The hours in the sun after a busy city sithtseeing were great. Many thanks to Sylvia for the warm and friendly wellcome.

Great place to come away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam city and to have a cosy time in a houseboat which feels like home. Many thanks to Sylvia and her husband for taking good care of the boat and facilities and making each guest feel welcome. Definitely a unique experience compared to living in a hostel/hotel. I hope to be able to come back some day.
