We've stayed at Thuan Duc when arriving at Saigon and returned for a 2nd stay before leaving Vietnam.
Rooms are very clean. The location is great. Although located in a vivid area it's surprisingly quiet.
We had problems with a non-functioning A/C. So we contacted the lady at the front desk and she had it fixed right away.

Thuan Duc hotel is located in 219/26 Pham Ngu Lao st and one new property is located in 219/14 Pham Ngu Lao st, which is the heart of the budget travelers area.We have fourteen spacious rooms with fan or A/C, cable TV, window, mini fridge and private bath with hot shower.

We are very happy with Lonely Planet's remark 'Thuan Duc was opened in early 2005 and offers simple-but-great-value rooms …'

This is a great little guest house and central to all the sights. The guesthouse is very clean and the owner cannot do enough to help and to answer any questions you may have about HCMC and tours around the city. We would most definitely stay at this guesthouse again.

The situation of this hotel is O.k but the room wasn’t clean daily. We booked 1 day, at frist we thought this hotel might be fine for us and we also were lazy to pack our stuffs to move another hotel and we booked extra 3 more nights there. Then we realise our bed sheet didn’t change everyday.....just only on third day they put the new one on. The air-cond wasn’t cool, it just like a fan. Finally, it no have any value for money
