The three of us just loved this hostel! We stayed in a private double room & a private single room (both with shared toilet/bathroom); but they have dorms as well. The price is very reasonable, I would say cheap, considering what`s on offer. The hostel is right in the heart of Berlin, clean (it`s spotless!), housed in an old refurbished building with loads of character & very modern (no keys for the doors, just a code that you input on a number panel).

Que es lo que convierte a nuestro hostel en un "Gran Hostel"?
Para empezar, esta situado en un edificio histórico en el centro de Berlín. Pero lo que lo hace diferente de los otros hostels en Berlín son todos los servicios que ofrece, casi los mismo que un hotel. Esto sin ninguna duda te convencerá para escoger el Gran Hostel en Berlín como tu próximo alojamiento.
La recepción está abierta 24 horas al día, característica importante para un hostel en Berlín, visto que esta ciudad no duerme nunca. Ofrecemos la posibilidad de efectuar el check in más pronto o el check out más tarde (siempre que la habitación esté preparada). Baños modernos y limpios. Modernos interiores, grandes armarios con cerradura, habitación para guardar las maletas y podrás tomar té todas las tarde...gratis!
Personal simpático y amable, un mapa de Berlín gratuito, un desayuno buenísimo que se sirve hasta las 14:00 horas. Varias especialidades de café y una amplia selección de tartas hechas en casa.
Y además tampoco os faltará nunca una cerveza fresca, que os estará esperando en nuestro bar, una sala de música, televisión, una zona pública con internet, visitas por la ciudad, alquiler de bicicletas y naturalmente estaremos siempre a tu disposición, 24 horas al día!

The three of us just loved this hostel! We stayed in a private double room & a private single room (both with shared toilet/bathroom); but they have dorms as well. The price is very reasonable, I would say cheap, considering what`s on offer. The hostel is right in the heart of Berlin, clean (it`s spotless!), housed in an old refurbished building with loads of character & very modern (no keys for the doors, just a code that you input on a number panel). The rooms are really spacious, with high ceilings, extremely comfortable beds, wardrobe, table & chair. Nice & warm over the winter, & you can control the heat in your room. The Hostel has really cosy common rooms to chill out: smoking room, computer room, bar...& they serve lovely, very reasonable priced breakfast from €2, & all sorts of hot/cold drinks. It just feels like you`re sharing a big house with a bunch of friends; as you arrive, they welcome you with a cup of hot chocolate, & offer you a free Berlin map.
For me, one of the best things was the staff. So friendly & helpful, every single one of them; they`re there to advice you on anything from where to go out for a drink, what bus tours are available...anything & everything, & everyone speaks perfect english, as well as several other languages, as members of staff are from a variety of countries.
You have as well the rare choice of a late check out time, which can be arranged depending on availability, but if you`re travelling back home later in the day, like us, you can always leave your luggage safely on their "Luggage room" & collect it when you`re ready to go, as well as being welcome to hang around the hostel & use their facilities, on the day you check out. This is so useful: we got a whole extra day in Berlin after checking out, without having to worry about our luggage, etc...& even had a little rest & a coffee in one of the common rooms just before leaving to catch our plane. I will definitely be staying in this hostel next time I`m in Berlin. I mean, there`s nowhere else I`d rather be. Perfect!

What makes us to a Grand Hostel? Certainly not just the historical building situated in the heart of Berlin. But the infrastructure of a hostel and the service benefits of a hotel will most definitely convince you.
We offer a 24 hour reception desk, early check in or late check out (if available) free of charge, modern and clean sanitary facilities, an invitation to an afternoon tee, modern interior fittings, large lockable cupboards, a luggage room, informative staff, a map of Berlin free of charge, a luscious breakfast till 2pm, coffee specialties, self made cakes and there will always be a cold beer waiting for you at our bar, a music and television room, a public internet counter, city tours, bike rental and of course we will always have a free minute or two for you and all that 24 hours a day!

Como llegar:
Desde la estación central:
Coger el autobús M41 hasta la estación Willy-Brand-House y desde aquí podrás llegar a pie en 15 minutos.
Desde la estación Ostbahnhof:
Coger el metro (U-Bahn) con dirección a Treptower y cambiar tren a Warschauer Str. Coger el metro (U-Bahn), U1 con dirección Uhlandstrabe y bajar en Moeckernbruecke, una vez aquí llegarás a pie en 5 minutos.
Desde el aeropuerto Schoenfeld:
Coger el autobus X7 (terminal Schoenefeld) hacia la estación de tren (U-Bahnhof) Rudow. Coger el metro (U-Bahn) U7 con dirección Rathaus Spandau y bajar a Moeckernbruecke, desde aquí llegarás en 5 minutos a pie.
Desde el aeropuerto de Tegel:
Coger el autobús 109 con dirección a Zoologischer Garten y bajar en Jacob-Kaiser-Platz. Coger el metro (U-Bahn) U7 con dirección Rudow y bajar en la estación de tren Moeckernbruecke.
