We have been very impressed by the quality of the service as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. Although we stayed only one night there, on our way back 2 weeks later, we arrived in Ho Chi Minh in the early morning and we were flying back home in the evening. The hotel kindly accepted to keep our luggages during that day and allowed us to visit Ho Chi Minh one moer time. They did not ask anything for it, though we did not even use the room.

The kindness of the staff made it seem natural, which is not.
In addition to that, the location is excellent. Very quiet, but with a small and lively market in the gang.

The staff at the Cat Huy hotel was very accomodating and friendly. Ann was always very eager to help in anyway she could including the rest of the staff. I would definetly stay their again.

Eveything is fine but the breakfast choice is very limited two menu only and to avoid dust from the open market and the foul smell in the morning, we suggest the entrance door is shut not widely open, it is a real turn off to have breakfast in the morning with dust flying in and the smells from the market selling meat etc..

The room is clean and the facilities are new. The staffs had been very helpful and kind to us during our stay. The morning market just at the doorstep and it is a nice place to experience a true local stuff. I would reckon this hotel bcoz u just have to pay for budget price but u will get a 5 star room n services.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Cat Huy Hotel and was extremely impressed by all aspects of my stay. The hotel is beautifully presented, the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and the hotel staff were all lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend the Cat Huy Hotel to anyone who is thinking of staying in Ho Chi Minh City - it is such great value for money and was a beautiful place to stay in Vietnam!

The location of the Cat Huy Hotel may not be to everybody's liking, esp the oldies. We arrived late in the afternoon when the alley way just that, and the first impression was 'what have we let myself in for', but when we arrived at the hotel, the staff made us feel very welcome. The morning scene outside the hotel is a market, which we found interesting. We got fresh towels every day and our bed linnen was changed every 3 days, the bed/bathroom/toilet were cleaned daily. The breakfast was omlette or fried eggs, bun, orange juice, tea or coffee and fruit (bananas), we had to ask for our omlettes to be cooked longer, on the first & second day they were undercooked. I would recommend the Cat Huy Hotel to younger people (we are 69yr & 74yrs). Another plus for the hotel, is that the budget room is on the ground floor, & as my husband has bad knees he didn't have to climb steps. As you are aware that there aren't too many lifts in budget accommodation. I think the location is good as long as you are able to walk, the choice of places (within easy walking distance) to eat is varied, with bars, resturants and local food.
Hoping this may help you, we are planning to go to Vietnam next year and plan to stay at the Cat Huy Hotel. This hotel is only 6 mths old.

Cat Huy - a very newly opened hotel - and it shows!
Everything is bright new and clean....the rooms are nice, and with a slightly minimalistic decor, that to me feels both elegant and cosy, at the same time...
The location is perfect - with most of the sights within walking distance, and right at the travellers centre, with everything you need just around the corner...but, since it is placed in a small alley, at the same time quiet and peaceful.
The service is very friendly and personal...
There is no doubt, that if I ever come back to Ho Chi Minh city, I will stay here again!!!!!!!
