Our friendly and comfortable new Hotel Coconut House is located in Alajuela, a nice garden town in the central mountain Valley of Costa Rica. We are just 10 minutes away from the International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown San José. Our Hotel Coconut House has comfortable and quiet rooms with ceiling fans.

airport Taxi: US$ 3,- to the Hotel

Taxi: Hotel Coconut House, Urb. La Trinidad, del Super La Trinidad 100 Sur y 350 oeste, Taxi ca. 1 US$ to the Hotel.

Leaving the airport please use the left exit door. There you will find the ticket sale for the official airport taxis. A taxi from the airport to the Hotel Coconut House costs 3,- US$, a minibus for up to seven persons costs 5,- US$. The taxis are waiting in front of the exit. The ticket with the driving destination has to be handed to the driver. Taxi drivers in Costa Rica do not expect tips.

We recommend not to use any other taxis but the official orange colored airport taxis, which can be used only by the above mentioned ticket sale at the airport exit. Other non-official taxis might take you to overpriced hotel to get a comission. Illegal taxis with private cars are not recommend for safety reasons
