We enjoyed our time at Lagares Hostel. It is a bit of a walk into the town but a nice walk and the staff were really helpful with maps to point us where to go.
The rooms were comfortable and they cleaned the bathrooms well and frequently. They also had really big lockers in the rooms which fitted packs in easily.
Breakfast was good, internet access is good and they have a smallish TV and a DVD collection which is good too. They could also help you organise tours.

Hostel Lagares esta ubicado en el corazon de la ciudad vieja, a pasos del centro comercial de Mendoza, muy cerca de restaurantes y museos.
Un lugar muy calido, atendido por sus duenos, garantizandote un excelente servicio.
Habitaciones luminosas y confortables con colchones de resortes y lockers individuales.
Sala de estar espaciosa con TV y equipo de musica.
Cocina abierta totalmente equipada.

10 blocks from the Bus Station. Walk north on Costanera Ave. until Corrientes Street, turn left and walk 2 blocks. A taxi costs $5 (argentinian pesos).
From the airport, take the freeway which becomes Costanera Ave. and on Corrientes Street turn right.
