The Amazigh Aljezur was built to offer accommodation for those budget travelers who want to live and feel all the wonders that this town has to offer. The recently renovated building right in the heart of Aljezur center, has a retro decoration.

Amazigh Aljezur is the newest Hostel in the Algarve and is the only Hostel located within the famous South West Algarve Coast Natural Park, famous for its unspoiled nature, un crowded beaches, sunny skies and sublime fresh fish. The area also attracts surfers (beginners and advanced) from all over the world due to the magnificent conditions to sport practice.

The hostel offers a wide range of activities: trekking to biking and exclusive surf lessons available at special discount prices.

Aljezur is a traditional Portuguese village faithful to its origins, very popular among surfers given its’ unique proximity to the most popular beaches of the region, such as Arrifana, Amoreira and Montes Clérigos with its magnificent cliffs, white sands and blue waves.

From Surfers, to hikers, to bikers, to nature lovers, you will find a wide range of travelers, who travel searching for unique nature and adventures that came to love this special relaxing atmosphere and the lush green surroundings, and that is why we call it Amazigh that means 'free people', that comes from Berber people, who were indigenous people from North Africa, known for their nomad lifestyle.

The hostel offers designer beds with 5 star mattress, linen and towels. We have a range of accommodation types from double to 12 bed dorms which have ensuite bathrooms.

The social areas have an excellent standard of facilities which can cater for the most demanding of traveler, including Plasma TV, DVD, surround sound and fast speed wireless Internet in all rooms.

The indoor patio of the building is naturally decorated with a beautiful rock wall, which marks the mind of those who visit the hostel.

From Faro (Algarve, South):

By Car: Take A22 (Via do Infante) direction Lagos. Go to the end of A22 and follow Aljezur signs (about 45 min.)

By bus: Take bus straight to Aljezur (1.45 min.), or take a train from Faro to Lagos, and then take a a bus straight to Aljezur.

By taxi: 60 Euros up to 4 people

From Lisbon (North):

By Car: Take A2 direction Algarve. At the end take A22 (Via do Infante) direction Lagos. Drive till the end of A22 and follow Aljezur signs.

By train: depart straight from Lisbon to Lagos. After take a bus or taxi to Aljezur (up to 30 minutes
