We are located in the very heart of the Latin quarter, near Saint Germain, Hotel du Commerce is just a few blocks away from Notre Dame de Paris, the Pantheon, Sorbonne university and the Seine river banks
In a quiet street, a typical French market and the bistros and restaurants are all nearby.
We offer you a very warm and friendly welcome, the team of the hotel du Commerce is fully dedicated to make the guests stay pleasant and comfortable.
We have 33 rooms fully renovated, and nicely decorated, equipped with shower or washbasin (common showers at extra cost: 2 Euro).
PLEASE NOTE:
Double (Shared Bathroom): in the room there is the wash basin only
Double (Private Bathroom): in the room there is the shower and wash basin but the
WC(Toilets) is external.
NB: Please note that our triple rooms have 1 double bed and 1 single bed.
Our quad rooms have 2 double beds
Shared showers cost 2 euro.
We have a dining and food preparation area for meals (common refrigerator, microwave oven and kitchen equipment)
PLEASE NOTE: private bathroom means that the shower is inside the room and Toilets are external and not in the room.

WE booked this room four months in advance but the room wasn't available on the first night. Our luggage was expected to be stored in an unlocked room in the reception area during the room change, we refused to allow it! There were over 70 spiral staircases between the fourth floor room and the showers, (which were in the reception area)! We stood in our bathrobes in the reception, each time we wanted a shower (2 euros extra). There were no bath towels available for two of the four nights we stayed, so we had to use hand towels! We were moved to the third floor room on the second night (only 50+ steps). The cost was good but I wouldn't have booked it, had I known the deal. Our daughters slatted bed collapsed during the first night. We tried to find another place but they were all booked out. We weren't trusted with the key when we went out either. Anyone can ask for your room key, as there was no check on people coming and going. We would never go back here again.

A really good hotel, for the priceclass. Friendly staff and a really good location. The idea that you only was allowed to use the kitchen for breakfast was a bit strange though.

The receptionists were all really friendly and gave good advice. Our down stairs room was very quiet. It was basic accommodation at a reasonable price. The idea that a shower is something you pay for in addition to the hotel price is weird, as is the location of the two showers in the hotel (in the reception).
