This budget hostel is certainly close to all the action if you like music. There are restaurants close by. The superb metro is a 8 minute walk away, which is clean, inexpensive and an efficient way to get into the city centre.

As a lone female traveller I felt safe around the area, my only issue was the noise, it is very noisy, the loud door bell rings everytime some crosses the threshold, which is very irritating. The local bars have loud music certainly most evenings and late into the early hours on the weekend - take ear plugs if music is not your thing.

Compared to other budget hostels I stayed in Colombia, I felt this was over priced for the service provided, which in my case was none, the room was not cleaned during my 3 day stay; unlike other hostels who make the bed and change the towels and empty the 'bin' every day.

I have stayed in cheaper hostels and been provided better service.

People were friendly and helpful though.
