Las instalaciones son sorprendentes, cuartos con calefacción, agua caliente todo el tiempo, camas nuevas y cómodas. Nuestro equipo es realmente amistoso, te hará sentir como si estuvieras con tus mejores amigos, además de que te ayudaran con consejos y tips para disfrutar tu visita al máximo.
Los cuartos están diseñados para que puedas dormir, sin trafico de gente o ruido periférico. Encontraras todas las comodidades que un hostal rankeado entre los mejores del mundo debe de tener; computadoras nuevas, una cocina comunal bien equipada, lavandería, un café-bar con mucha vida, baños en cada cuarto, balcones y por supuesto mapas e información gratuitos de Atenas.
Y para los viajeros experimentados Ahorren dinero en Athens Backpackers, utilizando nuestra cocina totalmente equipada para tus comidas y cenas (condimentos, especias, pasta y arroz, entre otros, gratis).
Además de todo esto, no podríamos tener una mejor ubicación. Estamos a tan solo dos minutos de la Acrópolis y cerca de otros tantos sitios de interés.
Para encontrarnos no podría ser mas sencillo!! Saliendo del metro ACRÓPOLIS, camina sobre ATHANASIOU DIAKOU y en la esquina con MAKRI, da vuelta a la izquierda, cinco pasos mas y ya estas. Bienvenido a Athens Backpackers.
Para encontrarnos recuerda tomar el metro Acrópolis donde estamos a tan solo una cuadra, otra opción es: viniendo de la plaza Syntagma, camina por la avenida Vas Amalias hasta que esta se convierta en Syngrou, da vuelta a la derecha en Dionysiou Areopagitou (la callecita vieja con adoquín, casi opuesta a los pilares del Arco Adriático) y en la segunda calle a la izquierda, esta es Makri y en el numero 12, ahí estamos. (Aproximadamente 7-10 minutos de caminata desde la plaza Syntagma).
A 2 minutos caminando de la Acrópolis.
A 2 minutos caminando de Plaka.
A 5 minutos caminando de Los Jardines Nacionales.
A 1 minuto caminando de El Arco Adriatico.
A 2 minutos caminando del Templo de Zeus.
A 10 minutos en metro del Museo Nacional de Arqueoogia.
A 15 minutos caminando de la colina Lycabettus.
A 20 minutos en tranvía a la Playa.
A 20 minutos en tren para el Puerto de Pirreaus.

Happy Hour Rocks too... 1 euro beers and 2 euro spirits!!!Only complaint (which is minor), is that we went on the day tour to Deplhi with the hostel. It cost 50 euros which was not the problem, the problem was that the tour guide was unlicensed so she was unable to enter the ancient sites or musuems and explain to us what things were.
This was a definite shame as Deplhi is AMAZING...would have been good to have more of an understanding of the history.Other than that...my stay was fantastic. Thanks Athens Backpackers!!

Stayed here for 4 nights, had an absolute blast. very close to the big sites in athens and easy to get anywhere else via tram or bus. love the roof bar, some good times were had. very friendly staff aswell made it a very enjoyable place to stay. Cheer guys!!!

The best part about this hostel is the location -- just a couple of blocks from the Parthenon! Also easy access to the subway at the Akropoli stop. The hostel itself is not great. It is rather old and not particularly clean; a little grungy. But the value is worth it, especially in a city where hotels are so expensive. The staff were really helpful, and there are several daytrips and walking tours organized through the hostel. Free wi-fi was a benefit, as was the luggage storage (although it is not in a secured room). I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast or the bar. Overall, I would stay here again because of the good value and location, but it was not the nicest hostel I have stayed at.

Just arrived? Let us take you around this fascinating city and tell
you a few stories. From politics to plumbing, the ancients invented it
all and right here in Athens! You're shown the streets by a young
local who can answer all your questions and show you where everything
is, essential stuff!
Thursdays
Leaves Athens Backpackers 9.00am returns 7-8.00pm
Nafplio, Palamidis castle, sweetwater bay and the Corinth Canal. 50.00 euro
Deep in the Peloponnesus lies Nafplio, an ancient town situated on a
pinnacle of land pointing into the Mediterranean sea. Awash with
history, its Venetian cobbled streets contain remnants from past
civilizations and religions; it's like a huge open air museum. Nafplio
lies in the shadow of the largest fortress in Greece, Palamidis. We
climb (optional!) the 999 steps to the castle entrance and explore the
labyrinth of tunnels and parapets. Sweetwater bay is a deserted sandy
cove beyond Palamidis.
After a day of exploring there is nothing better than a swim and a
picnic on the beach.
Saturdays
Leaves Athens Backpackers 9.00am returns 7-8.00pm
Ancient Delphi and the Temple of Apollo, Horio Arrachova. 50.00
Follow in the footsteps of the ancients and make the pilgrimage to
consult the Oracle at Delphi, you're in good company, lionadis (leader
of the Spartans), Alexander the great and Socrates made the journey to
take 'the knowledge' from the wise women.
The most spectacular of all the ancient sights, the mountain is
covered with temples built as gifts from the spoils of war. Pagan
belief says that Delphi is the center of the world; the closest
mankind can get to Mother Nature, literally, the 'navel' of the earth.
It's going to blow your mind.
Sundays
Leaves Athens Backpackers 11.00am returns 6-7pm
Temple of Poseidon (god of the sea) and the beaches of Cape Sounio. 35.00
Pack-up your towel and trunks, we're off to the beach! The waters of
cape Sounio are a shocking deep turquoise and look so inviting from
high up on the temple of Poseidon. The temple is similar to the
Parthenon in Athens and was a great lookout across the Mediterranean
and the Greek islands. Today we take in the views and explore the
ruins before heading to the beach for an afternoon of fun.
