Located in the centre of Göreme, the family run Star Cave Hotel offers magnificent views of surrounding fairy-chimneys. It has free parking, free Wi-Fi, central heating and a cosy terrace where guests can enjoy hot and cold drinks or play backgammon.

Star Cave is a charming cave hotel which immediately makes you feel at home. As it's built into caves, all rooms have a different design. Although close to the centre and all the shops and restaurants, Star Cave is situated at the end of a street in a very quiet area, away from the noise of the centre.

Staff at the Star Cave can provide information on activities in Cappadocia and help organize daily tours and balloon flights at a reasonable price. ATV, horseback or walking tours or a visit to the Turkish bath (hamam) or the Turkish Night show or Whirling Dervishes ceremony can also be organized.

In the morning a traditional Turkish breakfast buffet with bread, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, honey, jam and fresh fruit is served on the terrace. In the evening hot and cold drinks can be bought.

All rooms at the Star Cave are cut into the rock, including the dormitory. The private rooms come with ensuite bathrooms with showers. Family rooms have a spacious seating area and some rooms also have a private balcony. There is central heating and 24-hours hot water in the hotel.

By car: 270 km (kilometres) from Ankara - 650 km from Antalya - 780 km from Istanbul. The road is good from Ankara. It takes 4 hours.

By plane: Turkish Airlines fly to both Nevsehir (NAV), 40 km from Göreme, and Kayseri Airports (ASR), 80 km from Goreme. Pegasus Airlines has flights to Kayseri from Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen and also Antalya and Izmir.

By bus: There are several daily departures from the Ankara bus station. There are several overnight buses running between major toursist locations, like Istanbul, Antalya, Ephesus, etc and Göreme. From Göreme bus station walk towards the Mosque, continue past all shops to the Y junction in the road. Follow the signs to the Star Cave Hotel.
