We have Private Rooms and Dormitories, the building is a colonial house, original from La Antigua Guatemala, that has been acommodated to offer a new option of hostel for travelers in Antigua. Because we know what you need to start every day of your trip with the Best Feeling: a Nice Rest, a Refreshing Shower and a Delicious Breakfast .... that is why we focus on our main services, Rooms, Beds, Bathrooms and Breakfast, but we also have Laundry Service, WiFi, Cable TV, Beverages and Snacks.

Stayed at El Hostel for two nights. It is comfortable enough, breakfast is OK. The social area is cramped. El Hostel's website says they speak English but they do not. They did arrange for our trip to Lake Atitlan which was very helpful (cost was $12 US per person). The other guests were young, we were the only oldsters. Cleanliness was not bad. Shower water was comfortable but not hot. They do provide filtered drinking water for a donation. Be prepared to pay for every cup of coffee and if you book online or arrange airport transportation online you will pay more for the room and transportation. We rented a Taxi from Guatemala City and paid a few bucks less then El Hostel's online price. The price listed on their bulletin board was substantially less than we paid for the taxi. If you do a walk-in to rent a room you'll save about 30%. The Sky Cafe is just across the street and is a nice place to spend some time on the rooftop. We will be trying a different hostel on our return trip.

Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms. A little strange having people breakfast right outside your door, but overall I strongly recommend.
