I really enjoyed this hostel. It was right next to the Vatican, which made getting their early to beat the crowd really easy. It was really clean and located a lot of great cafes and fantastic gelato! All of the staff that I interacted with seemed to be native English speakers and they were all very nice. The only downside is that they have a lockout period, which happens to be at the hottest part of the day.
Just don't leave anything on your bed when you go out.

El albergue Pensione Ottaviano pertenece a la cadena de hostales de la juventud de Roma. Fundado en 1956, hemos alojado a generaciones de alberguistas. Desde su inauguracion ha sido siempre recomendado por las guias especializadas en Roma , y suponemos que existe una razon para ello. El albergue esta situado en una zona agradable y tranquila, a metros de la Plaza San Pedro,y desde las ventanas es posible apreciar la cupula del Vaticano. La pensione Ottaviano es limpia, tiene buenos precios y esta cerca de las mas importantes atracciones de Roma, con un amplio acceso a los medios publicos como Metro, tranvia y buses, con los que podra moverse comodamente por la ciudad. Nuestra atmosfera internacional, y nuestros empleados anglo-hablantes , amables y agradables nos ayudan a ser uno de los mejores albergues de la juventud. Ayudamos a nuestros clientes a que disfruten de su estadia,proporcionando informacion necesaria y mapas, ademas de informacion sobre tours, alquiler de autos y motos. Al albergue se llega facilmente desde Termini, la estacion central de Roma. .

COMO LLEGAR HASTA NOSOTROS:
DESDE TERMINI (estacion central):
Salga de la salida 22 y tome Via Cavour.Camine siete manzanas, el albergue esta en la izquierda al 136 de la misma.
DESDE EL AEROPUERTO DE FIUMICINO (Leonardo Da Vinci):
Tome el tren directo a Termini y siga las instrucciones anteriores.
DESDE LA ESTACION DE TRENES 'TIBURTINA':
Tome la linea de metro 'B',direccion 'Laurentina' y baje en 'Cavour',suba por Via Cavour y encontrara Sandy en el 136 de la misma.
DESDE EL AEROPUERTO ROMA CIAMPINO:
Tome el bus azul 'COTRAL' que sale cada media hora para Anagnina,desde alli coja el Metro linea 'A' hasta Termini y siga las instrucciones anteriores.
Please note before you book, this hostel has arrival time limit rules:
the hostel will only accept guests arriving before 22.30pm. If you are arriving later than 22:30pm please choose an alternative hostel.
We would like to inform you that your arrival must be within 3 hours of the time which you indicated when booking.
Also, We remind to you that your arrival at the hostel must anyway be before 22H30 p.m.
Please, take note that we immediately will cancel the reservations with the arrival time indicated after 18:30pm.
Please Note:
1) We are unable to send mail or fax letters for visa documents applications.
2) We do not accept customers under 13 y.o. and over 40 y.o..
3) Reservation/Cancelation Policy
- Please print out your confirmation and pay IN CASH the balance due upon arrival.
- If you do not give us 72 hours notice (3 days) of your 'no show' by e-mail, we will unfortunately have to debit your card. The amount charged will be your first night's accommodation.
Phone cancellations are NOT ACCEPTED.

The only downside is that they have a lockout period, which happens to be at the hottest part of the day.
Just don't leave anything on your bed when you go out. I left a book there and when I came back the bed was made and the book had vanished. They have lockers though! I just didn't think anyone would take a book.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
Our hostels will only accept guests arriving and checking in before 22.30pm.
Check-in service for HostelWorld customers: 7:00am - 22.30.
Reservations with an indicated arrival time after 22.30 pm will be immediately canceled.
You must arrive and check-in no later than three (3) hours from your indicated arrival time AND before the indicated 22.30 pm deadline or else your reservation is automatically cancelled as a 'no-show' and your card will be debited for the first night's stay.
We do not support change or alteration of the original booking.To alter or change your reservation, you must cancel the original reservation and rebook once again. We do not accept reservation changes or alterations by e-mail or by phone. We do not refund the difference if you notify us upon or after check-in that you wish to shorten your stay.
Cancellations must be made ONLY BY E-MAIL at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to your arrival date. If adequate notice is not received, we will unfortunately have to debit your card. The amount charged will be your first night's accommodation
Upon arrival at the hostel, you must pay the full balance due IN CASH immediately.
Changes or alterations to your reservation cannot be made at your check-in.
Phone cancellations are NOT ACCEPTED.
We are unable to send mail or fax letters for visa documents applications.
We do not accept customers under 13 y.o. and over 40 y.o.for dormitory accommodations. All ages are accepted for private rooms.

Indicaciones
YOU CAN REACH US BY:
From Central Train Station (Termini):
Take metro line A (direction Battistini) get off at the Ottaviano station(10-15 mins) and walk down Via Ottaviano to No. 6.
From Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino):
Take the train direct to Termini (train station) and then follow the previous instructions.
From Tiburtina Train Station:
Take metro line B (direction Laurentina). Get off at the Termini Station and then follow the previous instructions.
From Ciampino Airport:
Take the Blue Cotral Bus that runs every half hour to Anagnina. From Anagnina take the metro line A and ride untill the stop Ottaviano and walk down Via Ottaviano to No. 6.
