It was a clean place, full of young guys, with a free wifi service at the reception and the bar that is located in the first floor...if you have a laptop or wifi device..excellent. If you dont, they have some laptops for free the first 30 minutes...after that its like 1 euro per hour...
Good location near TERMINI (train station that conect with fiumicino airport train service called LEONARDO EXPRESS.

¡Yellow Hostel es estremecedor! ¡Así de simple! En Yellow hay realmente una sensación de algo bueno. Se ha renovado recientemente, siempre está limpio y tiene todas las amenidades que se necesitan cuando uno llega a Roma durante sus aventuras por el mundo. El personal es... de lo mejor. Siempre dispuesto a ayudarte, amigable, muy internacional y siempre listo para divertirse. Aquí en Yellow Hostel nos gusta divertirnos, y nuestro objetivo es mostrarte lo imponente que es Roma. Acceso a Internet gratis. Sí, gratis. Un bar completo, siempre abierto. ¡Este lugar es estremecedor! Ah, ¿ya dije que hay un televisor de pantalla grande con DVD? Bien, lo hay. Pero lo más importante: siempre está limpio. Tenemos información completa, así que podemos responder a cualquier pregunta que tengas sobre tus viajes. Lo dije una vez, lo dije dos veces... ¡Yellow Hostel es estremecedor! ¿Por qué? ¡Porque así es!

Good location near TERMINI (train station that conect with fiumicino airport train service called LEONARDO EXPRESS...BUY THE RETURN TICKET, ITS CHEAPER) and CASTRO PRETORIO subway station (5 minutes walking or so)
REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR SHEETS AND PILOW COVER TO RECEPTION WHEN YOU CHECK OUT OR YOU´LL HAVE TO GO BACK UPSTAIRS FOR THEM...
THE SERVICE WAS OK, BREAKFAST NOT INCLUDED, CLEAN DORM BATHROOM AND TOILETS....I DIDNT EXPECT ANYTHING ELSE FOR THE MONEY I PAID, SO...GOOD DEAL.-

It is a nice and clean hostel not far away from the "classical Rome" and it can be reached easily via the Termini train station. The staff is friendly but a little cool and distant, for my taste.
For all of us travelling with a computer or wifi-device the free internet access is a blessing.
In the evening you can sit outside the hostel or inside the yellow bar and meet other travellers while having a drink or two. But for in my opinion, the beverages were quite expensive.

The people here are great. My biggest complaint would be the water temperature which was insanely hot! Other than that mostly good things. The general hang out area is the Yellow Bar which also has outdoor seating and is a great place to meet people. Nice big lockers, which are fairly quiet. All the staff speak English and anything typed is written in English. 30 minutes free of internet everyday on laptops which you can check out from the front desk. It can be a bit noisy, but relatively similar to the noise level in most hostels I've stayed in. Technically no food or beverages allowed in the rooms, but the staff generally seems to overlook this. Close to Termini Station where you can catch the subway or many buses. Also within walking distance of many sights.

- WE HAVE A MINIMUM AGE RESTRICION OF 18 YEAR OLD. PEOPLE 16 y.o. & UNDER CANNOT STAY WITH US. PEOPLE 17 y.o. MAY STAY WITH US, WITH SOMEONE 18 y.o. OR OVER AND IF THEY ALSO HAVE WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM A PARENT OR A GUARDIAN AUTHORIZING ONE OF 18 y.o OR ABOVE TO ACT AS A GUARDIAN FOR THE DURATION OF TIME ABROAD, WHICH MUST BE HANDED IN AT THE RECEPTION AT CHECK-IN. We reserve the right to cancel any bookings and charge the amount for the 1st night as a LATE CANCELLATION FEE if these restrictions have not been respected.
Example of the permission letter: ' As the legal guardian of .... (your name), I .......... (parent's/legal guardian's name), authorize and give my permission to .............. (one of your 18y.o friend's name) to act as a guardian for the duration oftime abroad. I authorize my daughter/son ............... (your name) to stay at The Yellow hostel in Rome, Italy.'
-WE HAVE A MAXIMUM AGE RESTRICTION OF 40 y.o. PEOPLE 40 y.o. & OVER CANNOT STAY WITH US (please contact our sister hotel, Hotel Romae). We reserve the right to cancel any bookings and charge the amount for the 1st night as a LATE CANCELLATION FEE if these restrictions have not been respected.
- Bookings of 2 or more guests we'll try our best to place everyone in the same room. But we CAN'T always guarantee it.
- Our big sister, Hotel Romae, has private rooms from 1 to 4 people. Please search under the 'Budget Hotels' section on this website for availability and rates.
- Please note that each person will need an obligatory 5 euro deposit for keys and sheets, which is refundable on the return of both items.
Air conditioning is only in our ensuite dorms and are on energy saving timers
- We are unable to send or fax letters of any kind for visa document applications to embassies and/or consulates.
- a valid ID (EU-countries) or a valid Passport is required at check-in
- Check-in is after 1:30pm till late and check out is 10am but you can leave your luggage with us for the day, free of charge. NB: the reception is very busy at 13.30, so there may be a bit of a wait around that time - so please be patient with us, grazie!
- You will not be able to check in unless the booking has been made under your name or if you are together with the person who has made the booking. If you need to check in earlier than the person who has made the booking please ask them to advise us via email well in advance.
- The mixed 7 and 12 bed dorms (shared bathroom) have the bathroom across the corridor
CANCELLATION POLICIES:
- If you would like to change or cancel your reservation you must send us a written request via email. CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES ARE NOT ACCEPTED VIA TELEPHONE. In case you need to cancel your booking and to avoid being charged the first night of your stay, you must send us your cancellation notification in writing, before 1.30 pm (CET), the day before your arrival date i.e. prior to 1.30 pm at least 24 hours prior to your arrival date.
Only when you receive a reply with the confirmation of your cancellation or change, can you be sure that your request has been processed and what the final outcome is.
