Just spent 4 nights of cosy comfort in the Casa Rezonnico ; staff are friendly and helpful , room was spotless , breakfast adequate (but not included in the per night price - a change from direct booking at their website ) . Radio or international tv would be an improvement as Italian tv for breakfast was mystifying and set only available at 8-9am . Apparently wifi link is available but no computer for guests . I arrived with a headcold but you can't boil water or make tea in the rooms , so I had to bring in a cupful from nearby cafe to brew up cold and flu remedy ! Can't fault the staff for help with concerts and museums - great effort. The street is very atmospheric and real Venetians live nearby , do their fruit and veg shopping from a moored barge 100 metres away . Beware the church bells at all sorts of times ! Yet its handy for two good restaurants and quality deli on the nearest square , plus mailbox for cards and letters and the local church has a L Da Vinci exhibition on. Internet cafe is en route to Ca Rezonnico vaporetto stop . Lovely bakery goods 3 mins away towards Accademia and student area close by the other way. Go on the Traghetto (shoppers gondola ) over to San Samuel , Fortuny,etc. Well worth a visit. I 've been three or four times now and can recommend it warmly , especially if tea-making could be possible.
