L'International Budget Hostel se trouve dans le centre de la ville d'Amsterdam, près des attractions touristiques, musées, et au coeur de la vie nocturne de Leidseplein.
L'hostel ( auberge de jeunesse) est situé sur un canal calme, le Leidsegracht.
L'hostel possède une salle de séjour confortable avec une vue sur le canal où chacun peut relaxer, socialiser et rencontrer d'autres touristes. Le petit-déjeuner est aussi disponible dans cette meme sale entre 9h00am et midi.
De plus, on y trouve des distributeurs automatiques, une télévision, un accès à internet et un téléphone public.
Les chambres sont constituées de 4 lits individuels. On y trouve une armoire par lit, pouvant contenir 2 sac-à-dos ( possibilité de la barrer). Chaque couloir est équipé de douches et de toilettes. Toutes les chambres possèdent un détecteur de fumée. Il y a des caméras de sécurité dans tous les lieux publics.
L'hostel n'impose pas de couvre-feu, mais la réception ferme à 23h00 ( 11h00 pm). Donc veuillez aviser la réception si vous comptez arriver après cette heure.
ANNULATIONS
Les annulations doivent être envoyer par télécopieurs ( ou par courrier électronique) à l'International Budget Hostel 24 HEURES avant la date prévue, sinon les frais de la premiére nuit vous seront chargés. À votre arrivée, vous devez payer la totalité de votre séjour. Si vous annulez votre réservation sur place en arrivant vous devrez payer la première nuit et 50% du reste de votre séjour prévu.
L'hostel gardera votre réservation jusqu'à 11h00 pm( 23h00), passée cette heure votre réservation est sujette à l'annulation à moins d'un arrangement préalable avec la réception. Pour finir, votre réservation peut être annulée si l'hostel ne peut obtenir
d'autorisation pour votre carte de crédit.
RÉSERVATION LE WEEKEND
Vous devez séjourner un minimum de 2 NUITS la fin de semaine, c'est-à-dire le vendredi et samedi ou le samedi et dimanche. Dans le cas d'une annulation vous devez le faire 24 HEURES à l'avance sinon vous devrez payer 2 NUITS.

Reception is open from 9:00 to 23:00 every day; however, there is no curfew. Please contact the hostel at least 24hrs before arrival date if you will be arriving after 23:00, in order to ensure your place. Payment is due upon arrival. City tax of 5% is not included and will be added to your balance upon arrival. There is a 5% surcharge when paying with Visa or Mastercard and 10% surcharge for American Express. We have a minimum stay of two nights over the weekends (Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday). We have a 24hr cancellation policy during the week; 48hr for weekend reservations (Fri, Sat, Sun). Cancellations made less than 24hrs in advance shall be charged for the first night's accommodation. Cancellations made at arrival shall be charged for the first night's accommodation plus 50% of the remaining balance. If you cancel during your stay and the reservation is prepaid you will be charged for the rest of your booking (100%). Cancellations around the holiday period must be emailed/faxed to the International Budget Hostel a week before arrival date to avoid a 50% charge on your credit card. During holidays, all cancellations are required to be faxed or e-mailed to the International Budget Hostel at least one week prior to arrival date. Failure to do so will result in a 50% fee, which will be charged to the given credit card. Cancellations on arrival during the holiday period are charged for the full amount. The reservation will be terminated if the hostel does not get authorisation on the credit card. Please note that the booking fee and the 10% deposit is charged by Hostelworld and is not refundable.

I made a reservation for four 4 bed rooms two months ahead. An "Andrew" confirmed that.
On arrival they gave us two 8 bed rooms instead - but charged the same amount.
Protest was not acceptet. "Take it or leave." This Andrew would not work here anymore.
We had to accept the new terms or to sleep on the street.
The rooms were obvious the former 4 bed rooms. The normal beds were replaced by bunk beds. There was almost no space in the room. The kitchen, which was still depicted on the evacuation plan, was locked. Bath and toilet failities were rare (2 for 32 persons), there is one (!) Computer in the lobby, for your internet access. (But also a WiFi.) Breakfast costs extra - but does not arrive before 9 a. m. At least the hostel has a pin code for the door, so you can access 24 hours.- Please remind, that they are willing to "forget" your reservation or change the condition if they can earn more otherwise.
While the cleanliness was average, but not more, friendliness was aweful. The location of the hostel is quite good but remind what you also trade in if you book here.

GREAT location in the middle of the city a few minutes from the restaurants and trams. You could easily walk across thow whole Amsterdam centre from here.
Long and steep stairs to the rooms but clean rooms with lockers- perfect for backpackers!
A big commonroom with possibilities to meet fellow travellers and a very good wi-fi. But it was just the room, nothing else to do there.
Price could be cheaper but overall a good hostel for a night or two if you just sleep there.
