Excellente localisation, à 5 min de la Gare Centrale, dans un petit quartier fort sympa, correctement fréquenté. Chambre, literie et sanitaires inclus, parfaitement propre. Calme, mais je suis rentré tard, :-) En bref, excellent rapport qualité prix. Pas de déjeuner, pas d'essui de bain, pas d'ascenceur... mais, à ce prix-là, c'est normal. Et puis, on s'en fout. Une bonne adresse de routard comme on les aime.

I could say all sorts of things about this place but Ill keep it short as Id prefer not spend any more of my time thinking about it.

My wife and I stayed here for what was supposed to be four nights.. after the second night we both decided we could not tolerate a third for various reasons.

The pros-
-- Location is pretty good.. close to cafes, coffee shops and restaurants, plus its only a few minutes walk to the Centraal station.

-- Lobby is actually very nice. Lots of room to sit and a TV to watch.. plus free wifi from the coffee shop next door is connectable from the lobby.

-- Price is cheap I guess. and even still you dont get what you pay for..

The Cons- (get comfortable)
-- No lift.. we were on second floor and going up and down steep rickety stairs? I couldnt imagine being on the fourth floor.

-- Ive seen walk-in closets and alcoves larger than the room we got.. by the second night I was feeling claustrophobic

-- Dont even get me started on the bed.. the room was pretty dirty and you could tell there were many years worth of smoke burried in the carpets.

-- There were some creepy individuals in that place.

-- Although the location is good it is also very busy.. be prepared to bring and use earplugs. we were right next to the bathroom and shower and the doors slammed continuously.

Now for the real kicker.

We left for the day and on our way out dropped off our key with the front desk which is their policy.
Hours pass and we come back to change.. get to the desk and ask for our key back (different gal than the one we dropped the key off with), she looks around and seemingly she cant find it.
So she gives us a second key to get in.. we go upstairs and would you believe our original key is in the door and the door is left unlocked and open a crack.
Yes, you heard right.. our key was used while we were away to open our door. Why you might ask..
Well we were told it was because the cleaners were 'new' and must have made a mistake.

So you would think that after a screwup of that capacity, they would be more willing to reimburse us at least some of the two nights that we were now bailing out on.. well if you thought they'd have decency at all you'd be wrong.

Im surprised Id even dignify this pathetic excuse of a hotel with this long of a review.
