A travellers' haven where you can meet lots of people or just chill out in the hammocks under the mango trees. Great music, friendly atmosphere with very helpful staff. We organise treks into the Chapada Diamantina National Park.

Pousada dos Duendes specializes in accommodating backpackers and independent travellers of all ages and requirements, offering a variety of rooms with and without en-suite.

We offer a range of rooms all to the same high standard but with different facilities:

- Private Rooms with en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and balconies with hammocks.

- Simple rooms with shared bathrooms.

- Dormitories

The Pousada dos Duendes is situated on the outskirts of the small town of Lençóis, yet only a 5 minute walk from the centre. We have a large garden with many fruit trees, BBQ area, hammocks for relaxing and a small campsite.

Our restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily, and we also provide pack lunches for your excursions. We are pleased to cater for vegetarians, vegans and for those with special dietary requirements.

Our own agency, H20 Travel Adventures, with their experienced multi lingual guides, will arrange your excursions into the National Park.

Access to Lençóis is generally from Salvador. The Real Expresso bus company runs buses daily at 07.00, 16.30 and 23.30 to Lençóis. Buses take approximately 6 hours and cost R$50.

From São Paulo Entram bus company runs buses daily at 10.00 direct to Lençóis. The journey takes approximately 28 hours and cost R$200.00.

Once at the Lençóis bus station, the Pousada dos Duendes is only a 15 min walk. There is always a representative from the Pousada dos Duendes waiting for the regular buses from Salvador. At any other time either ask at the ticket office at the bus station and they can call the pousada and someone will come and collect you.

There is an airport in Lençóis with flights every Saturday from Salvador, contact the Pousada dos Duendes for up to date information on flights and arrange for a transfer to the Pousada

TAP (Air Portugal) and Varig Airlines have international flights into Salvador. Other international carriers fly to São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro and take an internal flight to Salvador. Most cities with an airport have daily flights to Salvador.
