We are a brand new Guest house with a different concept; small, but with big and comfortable rooms. You will absolutely feel at home because it’s really quiet and silent. WE ARE NOT ONE OF THE BIG PARTY GUEST HOUSE.
The building we are located in is a modernist palace situated in the centric “Gótico” district. When you come through the front entrance we have a huge sweeping marble staircase like ¨Gone with the Wind¨! And the best thing of all, we´re only two blocks from the famous “Rambla”.
Close to the property (5 minute-walk) you will find the best tourist attractions of town like the “Plaza Real”, Museums and the Cathedral of Barcelona. The beach, “Arc Del
Triumph', the “Liceu” theatre, the Picasso museum, “Port Vell” and the Colon promenade are all within 15 minutes of us.
Furthermore, if you want to have fun you only have to leave the Building and you will find loads of bars, restaurants, clubs and discos all on our very own doorstep.
They are open every day and full of local people. So you can see our guest house is perfectly situated and where everything in town happens!

Guest house Blue has a really good location. The building is very old and beatiful. When you open the door to the House you can see a majestic view: the main staircase rises up and two large vases are on both sides

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue. The owners were very nice and cool, taking time to orient us and make sure we were enjoying our stay. Our floor had a nice kitchen, a dining room, and two full bathrooms. Everything was very clean, and we were pleased with our rooms. Finally, the location is excellent, as the hostal is very close to the Born and several tourist attractions.
The beautiful, large wooden door leading to the ornate staircase made me think this would be a special hostel. However, I was disappointed. I have stayed in many hostels across Europe and ask for little other than clean bed sheets. The ones I was given here were stained and the pillow before adding the pillow case, had blood on it.
I was also givena box room that was once part of the lounge with no windows. The good thing about it was the quiet location. I couldn't hear a thing at night.
I would not recommend this hostel.

had to carry a very heavy suitcase up four floors so a lift would be very useful.

Very nice place to stay, on a perfect (central) location, in a lively student neighbourhood. Nice rooms in a historical building. Some rooms don't have windows, but that's normal in Spain + as Barcelona is quite a noisy city, it's more silent in those rooms. It only would have been nice to get clean towels, so if you go, bring your own (like we did actually).
