The Hotel and Backpackers Schwanen The Swan, is on the quiet side of the river Rhine, nevertheless centrally situated in the 1000 year old small town of Stein am Rhein. The famous medieval Rathausplatz is only 2 minutes walk away. Stein has the most photogenic square in Switzerland with it's splendid facades and murals on the buildings.

The bank, supermarket, post office, boat station, railway station are all within 2 or 3 minutes walking distance.We call ourselves the Hotel to suit every Pocket.
