Had a room across the street from The busy CAFE CHAOS that is quite loud for the first night, asked for a room change for the second night to no avail be aware that it is LOUD!!!
The breakfast is toast jam and spreads, not regular cooked breakfast!

Stayed there twice during the same week. Both rooms I was given were extremely clean. The slight glitch with the first room (104) was that I was woken each morning by footsteps of the person(s) occupying the room directly above. This didn't happen with the second room (403). Don't be tempted by the lower rates offered by neighbouring hotels, which I did and regretted big time. None of them compares with the Montreal Espace Confort in that area really

Considering the location, I think we got a very good value for our money. We got everything we needed and expected from a hotel: a clean room with TV, a fridge and a microwave, with air conditioning, A bathroom with a shower. The breakfast (included) was copious and offered a range of foods from juice to croissants and corn flakes and toast, and was served in real plates and cups. Everything was functional, and the bulb that went off in the bathroom was repaced within the day. There was a mini supermarket within walking distance if we didn't want to go to a restaurant, and plenty of reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity, with a great "Latin Quarter" atmosphere. The parking at the library was also at a reasonable price and really close. That contibuted to a very nice stay in Montreal altogether.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean, if small, and it was an added bonus to have a little kitchenette. The buffet continental breakfasts were very handy and quite tasty. The location was central and we were able to walk almost everywhere from the hotel. On the odd occasion when we used the metro, there is a station nearby. The reception closes at 9pm - we only just made it and had no idea. There are 5 floors and no elevator, so you might want to request a room on a lower floor if you don't like stairs.

Direction autoroute 20 Est, Montréal centre-ville, sortie autoroute 720 Est, sortie Berri, rue Berri allez tout droit, tournez à gauche sur boulevard de Maisonneuve, puis à droite sur la rue Sanguinet, allez tout droit et tournez à droite sur Sherbrooke et encore à droite sur Saint-Denis. Nous sommes situés avant le premier feu de circulation, du côté droit de la rue au 2050
