The Cesare Balbo Inn is located within walking distance of the Colosseum which made it a great base for sightseeing. There were also lots of little bars and restaurants close by. Glenn was very helpful and gave us a detailed guide of which sights to see during out time there. The room was spacious and clean with an ensuite. The only downside was that the road outside was quite noisy in the early mornings which made it hard to sleep. We had breakfast included which was served in our room but it was a bit disappointing - a packet croissant and packet 'French toast' though the coffee was excellent!

Great Hotel in the best location with really friendly and helpfull owner (Glen). recomend it for anybody. fantastic value for money, made our trip to Rome even better and will be staying there again

Cesare Balbo's my favourite place to stay in Italy thus far - the guy manning the counter was really helpful and friendly. Spacious room, very clean, only wish the lighting could've been slightly less dim. Also, there was wireless available in the room so that was great. Location-wise - It was easy for us to walk to quite a few attractions from there, not just the colosseum and imperial forums, and there were lots of shops along the way.

Do not go there, The room is dirty bathroom is tiny, you cant sleep at night as all you can hear are cars speeding past. The so called breakfast is a joke, you get one roll ( defrosted) and a cold cup of tea without milk. We certaintly will not be going back

This place is safe , central and very unique. All what we needed and looked for in Rome. We liked and trusted it so much that we left most of our luggage here while traipsing off to Florence and Cinque Terre for a week and Glenn had our belongings waiting upon return . Glenn is very informative for your bus/sightseeing needs.
Good stay and one of the best we have encountered so far on our trip around the world.

Very nice place to stay, not far from the center (colosseum, etc.), run by extremely kind and helpful people (thank you, Glenn).
We got great information about places and transports from them.
Small flat on the ground floor of an nice building with four (?) bedrooms, clean toilets, a/c, free wi-fi...
Really adviseable.

Un buen sitio para alojarse, cerca del centro (a 15' del coliseo), y con un personal muy amable.
El encargado (Glenn), nos ayudó mucho dándonos información sobre sitios que visitar, medios de transporte, etc.
Es un apartamento en la planta baja de un edificio con cuatro habitaciones, baños limplios, aire acondicionado, internet gratis...
Muy recomendable.
