the booking process was horrible. After I received confirmation and gave my credit card number, I thought everything was OK, but when I got there the hotel clerk tells me my card was denied or something like that, so i called my bank and they said everything was OK, |I had to go back to the bus station and look for another hotel.

At the heart of downtown Montreal, the Hotel Eureka is a centenaire and historical building located in one of the most animated and cosmopolitain areas in the city.

The Hotel Eureka Montreal propose comfortable and clean rooms. We do offer a large choice of rooms from 30 CAD depending of number of guests and their budget.

Eureka Hotel is located a few minutes from the Old Port & Old Montreal, and is two blocks from the big & official library of Quebec & one block from the shops of St-Catherine St. The subway BERRI-UQAM station is facing the hotel, (you do not need to use your car or take a taxi), and we provide our clients with easy access to the

Underground city, to the casino, to the Olympic park. It is not expensive to park your car opposite the hotel.

the booking process was horrible. After I received confirmation and gave my credit card number, I thought everything was OK, but when I got there the hotel clerk tells me my card was denied or something like that, so i called my bank and they said everything was OK, |I had to go back to the bus station and look for another hotel. Fortunately, the clerk called me back and said a room became "available" He also told me that the booking fee of 6 dollars (they require a 10 percent deposit and the website said the cost of the room was 30 Canadian) doesnt go to the hotel but to the website of whatever. The room they gave me was not the same room I asked for but a more expensive one.
But for sheer value, this hotel is good if youre not picky. The location is great, I would go back though I am not sure if I would recommend it to anyone. The rooms are clean but tiny.
One thing |I would say are that the tenants are very nice and friendly and even the clerks. I wouldnt book a reservation on the website but I would call them myself and make a reservation. Obviously even if you have a confirmed booking and your credit card number is approved, that doesnt mean it has been approved at the hotel.

Sorry to hear of the problems you encountered at this hotel. Your booking was confirmed in threefold with the property, and there's no reason they would check your credit card number again before you arrive. In addition, if the property does have a problem with a credit card, they should always get in touch with you before arrival.
We are looking into this case and as to why the property made these mistakes.
