The singel room where I stayed is not recommendable, very damp with a bad smell. Other rooms are a bit bigger and airy, but to change in one of these rooms the owner asked for a hefty surcharge. We finally agreed, that he gave me back part of the money I had payed and with this money I moved to another place.
The Riad is very small, rather dark, and it could be difficult to go up the stairs with big luggage. The location is great though.
For the money there are better places.

couldn't find it, despite paying for two taxi drivers. then got robbed in dark medina while looking for it on foot.

Arrived at Riad to find I had been moved next door because of space.I therefore stayed at Riad Hidden.It was great.Salma the owner was excellent.She is friendly and very helpful.The service could not be better.
My only criticism it is that it is difficult to find.The taxi dropped me at the far end of the square.I had to ask three times for the street.The Riad itself is down an alley with no sign pointing the way.
Having said this I would have no hesitation in using the Riad again or in recommending it to other people.

Myself and my partner stayed at Riad Tarik for 3 nights. As the other reviewers have noted, Tarik is quite charismatic and a very accomodating host. I had no problem with him or the staff, though other areas of our stay did not live up to my expectations. We were given a small, windowless double room with two large shutters in place of a door. The en suite was also lacking in a door, with a curtain hung between the dividing partition. These factors made for a distinct lack of privacy, and although I'm sure traditionally Riads are supposed to have such features, it made our space like feel less of a boudoir and more of a spare room in somebody's house... the bedding and towels provided were also fairly lacklustre. Breakfast was decent enough; we were given fresh juice, mint tea and pancakes but no coffee. A sachet of Nescafe was provided, though oddly no hot water to mix it with. The location was one of the Riads' strong points, easy to reach once you know where to go (there are lots of locals willing to help) and only five minutes walk from the square. It is also quite a peaceful place- you can tell the owner has gone to some lengths to create a relaxed atmosphere for his guests. All in all it was a decent enough guest house considering its 'budget' status, however I would suggest that if you are looking for somewhere with better standards (not to mention a little more privacy) then it would be worth splashing out on one of the mid-price Riads nearby.

Riad Tarik was ace. Tarik and his assistant Maria were lovely. Tarik's English was mainly limited to "Good? Sahara?" but charisma and smiles go a long way. The rooms are basic but nice enough and the location is very close to the Square, Souks and main central tourist attractions. One thing to be aware of is the buliding work going on next door which were a little annoying but not overwhelming. Hot showers, free internet and breakfast included were more than I was expecting and then there was Tarik. Good? Yes.
