A traditional family establishment founded (business established) in 1958 has come back to life again, because it is nowhere better than here, in the Pott (the Ruhr area). And that is why we offer our guests this experience. “Sleeping in the Pott and eating like at mama’s”.

The small guesthouse is very cozy and informal and is situated close to the centre of Essen.

Our kitchen offers a simple but a very typical selection of dishes.

The rooms are now being renovated and are partly with showers. Each room possesses a washing facility and a TV. Sanitary facilities are located in the hallway. The whole of Nordstern is equipped with wireless. A conference room is also for rent.
