This was my first hostel experience and I would definately stay again, though I might bring my own blanket :p

The place was nice and clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were a little uncomfortable, the pillows small and the dorms a bit cold but for £10 a night I can't complain

That were five unforgettable days in Amsterdam and in Aivengo hostel! Me and my wife were in flat “B”, on the 6-th floor. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness, romance and good equipment of the apartment. There is a refrigerator, coffee pot, dishes, cutlery, even tea. It is clean and tidy. The staff is nice and responsive. Location is perfect - close to downtown and to all interesting places (all days we walked on foot only). In the same time – street is quiet and peaceful . In the beginning we were worried about the age limit (we are 40+), but I think it is actually only because of the staircase - 6 steep floors. But the view is worth it! I recommend it to everyone!

I had an amazing time in amsterdam. The hostel was great, my self and four other friends stayed in a 10 persons shared room which was huge, very spacious and very clean. This room provided single beds, towels and an onsuit shower and seperate toilet.
There is a cleaner that comes every morning also, so you definatly know the place is clean.
only problem was that we were on the 5th floor and the stairs are very narrow (so all im saying is pack lighly, because you'll be lugging your suit case all the way up ;-) )

The people that work there are very friendly and willing to help. We met a guy called vrat who worked on the reception, who was very nice and always willing to help.
the hostel also has two computers which have free access to the internet which is always great.

one thing i would say though, is make sure you print and take your booking details. so that you can provide them when you arrive. as we had a bit of confusion about the price.

but all in all aivengo was great and id defo stay there again.

ps. if visiting amsterdam id recommend you rent bikes, its a fantastic experience
