Mama's Pension is a traditional family establishment. It offers rooms and studios with private facilities and panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. The sunset can be enjoyed by guest from their balconies or Mamas breakfast veranda, which is the meeting point of the house.
The house has 12 rooms ranging from small, cheap rooms to studios with kitchen and TV. The owner's cousin offers guests the use of his swimming pool, bar, snack bar, mini market and moped rental 50m from the pension and his uncle owns a typical Greek taverna next door.
All rooms are simple, clean and the family will provide any information you may need about Mykonos.
The beach is 70m from the pension. There are 100 steps in front of the house down to the beach at St Stefanos and numerous tavernas, the market the and bus stop.
There are 24 more beaches on the island which are easy to reach by bus or moped, which is practical, fun and the easiest way to get around the island which is only 84 square metres.
Breakfast is available at a small extra charge.

RSSMama's Pension is an ideal place to stay in Mykonos.
Being located 2 ks out of the town, it's quiet but still very convenient. It's easy to get into town and not too far to walk if necessary. Motor scooers are available to hire cheaply and are essential to get around the island anyway, even if you were staying in town.
Mama's Pension is very friendly, comfortable and has easy access to a lovely beach (about 200 metres) away. There is a little market, a nice restaurant and bike hire all with a few minutes walk. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable.
It's great to come back to the apartments away from the pumping music and activity of the town. It also has a view of the most amazing sunsets.

Main disadvantage is the location - quite far out from Mykonos, however the owners provide free transfer to and from port.

The perfect point where to start your Cycladic tour!
I just got back from a 1-week vacation at Mama's Pension in Mykonos. Christina, the host, is a very nice lady. She does her best to make you feel at home. She picks you up at the airport and drives you back there at no extra cost. The room I was given was simple, but had air conditioning, which is nice when the south wind makes the air unbreathable in Mykonos. The nearby Greek restaurant, convenience store and bike rental office (all belonging to Christina's relatives) were also handy. Mama's is located in Agios Stephanos, 2 km from Mykonos town. I think this is good: it's quiet at night and you can sleep relly well :-) The local beach is good, though you may want to explore the other beaches on the island too. I suggest Elia, Agrari and Panormos. Of course, you will need a scooter to get around. All in all I am pleased about my stay at Mama's Pension.
