Kasbah Assafar Ecolodge, Ouarzazate, Maroc

We have built for you a authentic, traditional and comfortable guesthouse, in the heart of the Roses valley, ‘’kasbah Assafar’’ is located on the road of a thousand casbahs, 90 km from Ouarzazate and 05 km from Roses city (Kelaat Mgouna), between two mountains ranges : Djebel M'goun (4068 m) , on the other hand Djebel Saghro (2700 m a): warm volcanic massif.

Our « Assafar Kasbah » is located in the village of Ait Khyar, It is a small village of adobe Kasbah overlooking the MGoun valley and Just a few meters down to exit the red earth and find themselves in" gardens ". It is easy and pleasant to stroll along the river and the Kasbah is a good starting point for hikes in the Roses valley, Mgoun gorges, Dades and Todghra. Jebel Saghro volcanic massif, is also easily accessible and offers trekking in a beautiful landscape.

This family casbah’s, built on a cliff, was restored in the purest Berber tradition of mud and ‘tadlakt’. Harmonious and warm colors make it an ideal place for scenery and relaxation.

We offer you eight rooms, a lounge full of charm, mostly Moroccan and a terrace overlooking the "Garden of Eden" (the Valley of Roses).

When you arrive at the center of Kelaat Mgouna ; turn left at the intersection towards the Tourbist and Boutaghrar villages. At the roadside, There is a sign indicating the Kasbah Assafar, the track is accessible by car.

Following the signs, you reach the village Ait Khiyar "at 1500 meters, where everything is quiet and away from the hubbub of the city.

-- From Airport: our kasbah located at 1h30 from ouarzazate airport's. we can offer a transfert by minibus , 4x4 or Taxi to our kasbah Assafar.

--By Bus : the visitor can take the bus from Marrakech, ouarzazate or from others cities to kelaat mgouna then take a taxi to our kasbah in ait khiyar village, the client can also call us from kelaat Mgouna and we will come to search him.

--By Car : the road is accessible by car too, at the arrival at the center of Kelaat Mgouna ; turn left at the intersection towards the Tourbist and Boutaghrar villages.
