We are a family home. 30 mins from the airport. 15 mins from the historic old town (Batavia). 40 mins from the city centre. Hippo is perfect for travellers who are in Jakarta for a short transit.

Hippo is for travellers who enjoy local experience. We are within walking distance to modern amenities such as restaurants and a large mall. Unlike the notorious Jalan Jaksa, our suburb/housing complex is in a safe, gated neighborhood. Please note that we are on the edge of the city (in North Jakarta, near the airport).

Hippo offers two large rooms: one single room with a shared bathroom, and one queen bedroom with an en suite bathroom.

Instructions in Indonesian (by taxi to Hippo from the airport or anywhere; to be shown to the taxi driver):

Menuju ke arah Pluit Village Mall (nama dulunya Megamall)

Putar ke belakang Pluit Village Mall (kompleks perumahan ada di belakang Mall)

Setelah melihat Mall di sebelah kanan, perhatikan di sebelah kiri ada Bank BII

Belok kiri masuk perumahan lewat jalan yang di antara Bank BII dan restaurant Bebek Goreng Bang Slamet

Ambil kartu di pos satpam

Terus lurus menuju perempatan terakhir dan belok kanan

Lewati pertigaan dan cari rumah pagar hijau no 37 di kanan

Instructions in English (by taxi to Hippo from the airport or anywhere):

Instruct the driver to go to Pluit Village Mall (or Megamall, as it used to be called)

Instruct the driver to go to the rear/opposite side of the mall

Enter the complex by turning left on BII bank (there's a big signage)

Ask the driver to get a card from the security at the complex gate

Go straight to the last intersection and turn right

Look for house no 37 with a green fence on your right
