x The average starting price for a place to stay in Metz is £75 per night.
manuel6603 Mr Bed was O.K., you are not waiting for luxury in this price category. The location is hard to get used to, in an industrial area close to Metz. But what definitely did not work out was the booking with travellerspoint. We booked a 2 bed room with breakfast for a night, price with online booking 31,00 Euro. We allready payed a little bit of the amount in advantage (10%), still we had to pay more then this price when we arrived. And the breakfast was not included, if we would have had breakfast they would have charged us 4,50 in addition per person. If you re booking a 31 Euro accomodation then youre not rich, then a total difference of 15 Euro for one night makes a difference. Still if money would not count, for 50 Euro you could find a better room, more central. So my french was too poor for communication with the hotel stuff and they, of course, do not speak any other language then french at the reception (the booking confirmation is english as well). Would be nice if that could be managed better in the future. They charge 38,00 for a room and 4,50 for breakfast per person, it is not 31,00 for 2 persons incl. breakfast, unless you want to have a fight at the reception and then you need good french skills.
