x The average starting price for a place to stay in Nice is £72 per night.
sunducan For this price i not recommend this place-the location is great, your are right in the center-next to this hotel you can find much more better and cheaper accomodations. We spend there 3 nights in august and without air conditioning it was a torture. cleanliness wasn't the best-for that reason we even changed our room.......
douglas188 Great value, low budget accommodation. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the room light and airy. We had booked a second stay, but had to be transferred to another hotel due to overbooking. However all this was arranged for us.
paul55574 The guy on night duty was quite rude and didnt seem friendly at all...no smiles! Nice and close to the train station. doubt i would stay there again.
bogdan_r young, english speaking staff, very friendly, very helpful all the time. room had 4 beds, no space left on the floor to put luggage for 4 ppl ( had to put mine in the balcony ). shower was dirty - curtain was begining to rot. kept money in the safe deposit box at the reception - no issues there. location was just awesome, 2 minutes away from the beach. no breakfast included. wifi in room. cleaning lady would make the beds every day.
Ton.Walton I enjoyed my time at the hostel but as it has only been open for 6 days there were lots of things still to do. Air con didn't wrk, no Internet, painters and decorators all over the place. Sure these things will disappear in time but they cld have offered a slight discount for us. The most expensive youth hostel I've stayed in but Nice is v pricey. Friendly staff and a few tweaks will help get this hostel more stars. Only thing I'd change is the 10am check out. All other hostels have 12noon, far more realistic with a hangover! Had a great time tho.
crisafrica It was a great stay for the price, especially the bathroom, it looked like the Ritz Carlton! The only negative thing would be the thin framed metal bunk beds which squeaked and creaked very loudly when anyone moved in their beds.

lena.delle Me and a friend of mine stayed 6 nights in Backpackers Hostel chez Patrick and we had a very good time there! Patrick's very nice and the room was real clean.
jkanglim The guy on the counter was very good. Free internet and being able to borrow towels for the beach was good.
kuanfuyee very nice owner, seems like a family owned hostel. while the only downsides were that it's located just beside train tracks (I am a heavy sleeper so wasn't affected that badly) and the lack of security lockers. otherwise, quite a neat place near the station in a quiet area that's accesible to the beach by a 15min walk or 3 tram stops. note that you have to pay 1 extra euro per blanket per stay if u want it.
