tasha_007j Absolutely wonderful staff! Stellios and his family/staff were the most welcoming and inviting people we have meet in Greece! The hotel is seriously a 50 second walk to the beach, with great bars and cafes all along the beach. Exceptional value for money - 3 of us stayed for 3 nights - we only paid 40 euro each for our whole stay. Plus Stellios picks you up and drops you off to the port which makes life very easy! Highly recommended (I I have never given a place a 5 star recommendation in all categories ever before)... just do it :)

suesmart88 We enjoyed our stay in Pension George. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the pick-up from the airport and drop off at the port were a Godsend. Our room was small but very clean and had the best bathroom I have ever had in Greece. It's about a 20 minute walk into Fira but a bus is available from the main road, about 5 mins away.

bander We stayed in a double private with ensuite, it was ok although it was a bit like staying in an underground bunker. There was no internet in the room, and even the internet in the restaurant (which is the only place you can get it) was very patchy. It is close to the beach, about 5-10 mins walk. Overall ok.
gtrouw Hostel with friendly atmosphere and hospitabillity. A glass of wine after arrival and explanation of the things to do. Daily cleaning and fresh towels was very pleasant.
mlbeitel George and Stella are just the nicest people. We had a wonderful stay. The place is so clean and we had a fridge in our room and a grocery store very close by and George brought us coffee and juice every morning. George gave us lots of tips and pointed us in the right directions. Fira is an easy walk away and we rented a quad from a gentleman down the street which George recommended and it worked out incredible. Saw the beautiful sunset at IA although if you go, make sure to leave a little time to walk around because it really is beautiful. Oh and the pool area was really nice to. Just the kind of stay we were looking for. We actually travelled Europe for 3 weeks and this was our favorite place to stay and our favorite place to see. We Highly recommend it and would stay there again if we went back
hvbreugel very friendly and helpfull owner. Clean and comfortable rooms. Location is close to town centre but in a quit street just outside the tourist area. We had a very pleasant stay.

e.williams Stavros picked us up from the port and took us to the hotel. Then he drove us to a cash machine. He can organise trips from his office. He gives you free frappees! He is a really nice man. The hotel is lovely, big, clean rooms, with a fridge. There is a lovely pool to end the day. Absolutely great value!

Nexusstevie I stayed here for the first two nights of my island hopping holiday before moving on to other islands. The hotel was clean, the room was fairly basic but very adequate and the quiet, well maintained swimming pool was lovely to dip into at the end of the day. A pleasant self-service buffet was laid out for breakfast in nice surroundings. Probably best of all was the staff attitude, the owner and his father were so helpful and they both enjoyed taking the time to talk and socialise. Perissa's black sand beach isn't the most appealing but there are regular buses around the island. I fully recommend the Petra Nera Hotel and when I next visit Santorini it is the first place I will check out for availability.

madi_79 We stayed at Villa Pelekanos 4 nights in the beginning of August 2010.We found the place quiet (which was a pleasant surprise compared to noisy Thira and Perissa), very clean with all the facilities we needed. It is around 20-25min walk from the centre of Thira; it is perfectly fine and safe to walk from Thira to the hotel in the evening or night time but it can be unpleasant to walk this distance during the hottest part of the day. Most tourists rent a bike, so then it takes a 5min ride. The owners are very friendly and helpful and they offer free transport to and from the airport and/or the port. I would recommend this place as it is value for money.
