I only stayed for 1 night on my way from Kottayam to Kollam. As a single female traveller, I felt safe and warmly welcomed by the young man who runs Dreamnest. My room was large and clean with an ensuite bathroom. The place had quite a chilled out vibe with a large communal table to sit and eat at, read, write or just chat! There was internet access and also an outside area at the back done out in fairy lights with some comfy seat (looks like you could smoke out there if you wanted to). I think there may have also been a kitchen that you could use if you wanted to make some basic food?? The location was really central so very handy for shops and the ferry port. Although central, there was a large front area which sets you back away from the main road so not too noisy. I would suggest taking yr own bedding and towel (hand towel and clean "sheets" provided) but other than this, I had a comfortable, hastle free night leaving me fresh and ready for the next leg of my journey!
