We had a brilliant stay with Baby and Walter and it was one of our Indian highlights! The house is set on a corner just a little walk out of the main town area, you can walk up the quiet streets and meet the locals en route. The room was more than we expected - not just a room, sitting area, small kitchen, en suite --- fridge stocked with water and Pepsi at shop prices. Sitting area outside room and a rooftop area. Lovely garden with many plant pots. House spotlessly clean. Well designed and finished. Walter is German and Baby Indian - they have designed and built the house themselves. They were amazing hosts - we had a fantastic homecooked meal one night that my husband still tells people about! Laptop available for guests and Walter has a great knowledge of local area ands tourist info. More than willling to help you if you need. I would recommend this place to everyone! Thanks for a great stay! Alison & Chris X

Bastian Homestay is one of the best homestays we had on our tour in india! The people are so friendly and helpful. it´s very clean there. the way to the homestay is not so easy to find at the first time but because of that it´s very quiet there. so it´s a perfect place to relax. you are near on the sea and the touristic places. when you want to see the real india it´s no problem because it´s a short way to the bus station. you can ask everything. the hospitality it´s unbelievable, it´s great!! we are so happy that we was there! it´s one of the best homestays we had on our trip! it´s recommended. go to this place and you will see a wonderful family, a wonderful room and a wonderful atmosphere.

Run by a delightful, obliging couple. Spotlessly clean. They need to market themselves a little better and we suggested that they make a menu and stock some drinks as we found ourselves going "out" for things when we could have supported them. A definate highlight as far as accomodation. Lesley

Mr and Mrs Thomas greeted us like old friends, and became my Indian parents during my stay here! I will miss them when i move onto Goa, but can highly recommend Thomas Inn to everyone. First Class service. Thank you Mr and Mrs Thomas for a wonderful first time in India.

This place is very friendly, basic but very nice. A 5 minute walk from the town, but is excellent value, and can arrange lots of keralan tours for you. We would come back here definately, but the rooms were a little too hot in March!

Very nice place, a few min away from the centre - which I personally preferred. The only drawback can be the closiness of the street. Though the street is not that busy anyway :) The staff was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend the place if you stay in Cochin.
