L' ostello si affaccia sul tranquillo canale, di Leidsegracht. Il soggiorno é confortevole e si affacia sul canale, li puoi rilassarti e socializare con gli altri ospiti.
La colazione é servita nel soggiorno fra la 9 e le mezzogiorno. Qui si trovano anche della macchinette distributori automatici di bevande e snack, la televisione, una stazione internet e un telefono pubblico.
Le stanze hanno 4 letti singoli, un armadio per ogni letto adatto a contenere due zaini che potete chiudere con un lucchetto. Ad ogni stanza é associata un'area comune ove sono presenti le docce e bagni. E ogni stanza ha un sistema antincendio. In tutte l'area comuni c'e un sistema video di sicurezza.
L'orario di apertura della receptione fra le 9 mattina e le 11 notte, ma gli ospiti possono ritornare liberamente con un codice per la porta.
IMPORTANTE- le DISDETTE devono essere inviate via fax ( o via email) all'ostello 24 ORE prima della data di arrivo. In caso non fosse rispettato il termine verrá addebittata sulla vostra carta di credito una quota per una notte. Il soggiorno si dovrá pagare in anticipo al vostro arrivo. La disdetta effettuate all'arrivo computeranno il pagamento della prima notte e del 50% delle altre notti.
Le prenotazioni sono mantenute fino alle 23 a meno di accordi prevviamente con recepcione, e saranno cancellate se l'ostello non ottione l'autorizzazione dalla al pagamento della quota ( prima notte) dalla carta di creditto.
FINE SETTIMANA
Nei finne di settimana la permanenza minima e di DUE GIORNI ( venerdí, sabato e domenica) In caso di non rispetto delle 24 ore di anticipo sulle disdette
pagare due notti.

The entire hostel is non-smoking.
We have a 24hr cancellation policy during the week; 48hr for weekend reservations (Fri, Sat, Sun). Cancellations made less than 24hrs in advance shall be charged for the first night's accommodation. Cancellations made at arrival shall be charged for the first night's accommodation plus 50% of the remaining balance. If you cancel during your stay and the reservation is prepaid you will be charged for the rest of your booking (100%). Cancellations around the holiday period must be emailed/faxed to the International Budget Hostel a week before arrival date to avoid a 50% charge on your credit card. Cancellations on arrival are charged for the full amount.
The reservation will be terminated if the hostel does not get authorisation on the credit card.
WEEKEND RESERVATIONS
We have a minimum stay of 2 nights over the weekends (Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday). Weekend reservations are subject to a TWO NIGHT cancellation fee should the 24 hours notice not be observed.
Booking conditions Holidays:
All cancellations are required to be faxed or e-mailed to the International Budget Hostel 1 week prior to arrival date. Failure to do so will result in a 50% fee, which will be charged to the given credit card. Cancellation upon arrival will result in full payment.
Upon arrival, payment for accommodation is to be made in advance.
All reservations will be held until 23.00 p.m. unless arranged differently with reception.
The reservation will be terminated if the hostel does not get authorisation on the credit card.
IMPORTANT !!!
The booking fee and the 10% deposit is charged by Hostel World and it is not refundable.
City tax of 5% is not included.
This will be add to your room price upon arrival.

I made a reservation for four 4 bed rooms two months ahead. An "Andrew" confirmed that.
On arrival they gave us two 8 bed rooms instead - but charged the same amount.
Protest was not acceptet. "Take it or leave." This Andrew would not work here anymore.
We had to accept the new terms or to sleep on the street.
The rooms were obvious the former 4 bed rooms. The normal beds were replaced by bunk beds. There was almost no space in the room. The kitchen, which was still depicted on the evacuation plan, was locked. Bath and toilet failities were rare (2 for 32 persons), there is one (!) Computer in the lobby, for your internet access. (But also a WiFi.) Breakfast costs extra - but does not arrive before 9 a. m. At least the hostel has a pin code for the door, so you can access 24 hours.- Please remind, that they are willing to "forget" your reservation or change the condition if they can earn more otherwise.
While the cleanliness was average, but not more, friendliness was aweful. The location of the hostel is quite good but remind what you also trade in if you book here.

GREAT location in the middle of the city a few minutes from the restaurants and trams. You could easily walk across thow whole Amsterdam centre from here.
Long and steep stairs to the rooms but clean rooms with lockers- perfect for backpackers!
A big commonroom with possibilities to meet fellow travellers and a very good wi-fi. But it was just the room, nothing else to do there.
Price could be cheaper but overall a good hostel for a night or two if you just sleep there.
