AWA Lisbon Hostel Imperial is a charming & cosy budget hostel right in the heart of Lisbon city center. All rooms have free WIFI Internet, are spacious, clean, and are equipped with private shower and washbasin.
We are right in the nucleus of the city center overlooking the beautiful Praça Dos Restauradores (Restauradores square) by the airport bus stop & some of Lisbon\'s best tourist attractions, bars & cafes. and nightlife. You will have the perfect base from which to explore the beauty of Lisbon.
We welcome you to come stay with us and we promise to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and provide you with the comforts of your own home!
We have a 24 hour reception.
Please be aware, any reservation with an amount over 1000 Euros, will be subject to a 30 day cancellation policy. No changes or cancellations can be made within 30 days of the arrival date. Thank you for understanding
We do offer rooms with a private shower as listed, although, the rooms do not offer private toilets. The toilets are shared with other guests.

FRAUD - FRAUD - FRAUD
When I arrived at the agreed time, the elderly man did not know anything about the booking. As a matter of fact the place was fully booked. I had to ring the number given some foreign number +33 (very strange for a local contact number!) and the lady with a foreign (non-English, non Portuguese) accent was plainly telling me: if it is fully booked, well I have to go somewhere else and claim my money back.
So far I have not seen my deposit back, nor had any response from their end. BEWARE of whoever is behind accepting the reservation: It is not the one who is running/ managing the HOSTEL!
So far they have not responded and even Travellerspoint are investigating this case.

location is very good, price room relation is very above the average, staff does not speak english but tries to be always helpful, buses and taxi stop just in front of the place, defintelely a strong recommendation from my side

DO NOT STAY HERE. Location might be great, but everything else is terrible. Had to fight with the non Spanish or English speaking, very old and ornery owner just to get the rooms we reserved. He didn't know we even made a reservation and even though we had the number and information he considered it invalid since it wasn't printed on paper. He didn't even know the price we agreed to pay and never gave us change when we paid for our rooms. The rooms smelled of smoke, there was a cigarette burn in my sheets, one outlet in a room for three people, not enough towels and the door barely opened because it was too small for the number of beds put in it.
None of this even begins to cover the awkwardness that is the duggies that hang out on the stairs to get to the hostel or the fact that the shower is in the middle of the rooms with no door.
Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. The fight with the owner alone just to get the room you reserved will make you want to scream.
