Tagus Home has a great price and quality. It's located in the heart of Lisbon, only a few meters from the city park, Parque Eduardo VII.
The Tagus Home Hostel is located near one of the main avenues, Avenida da Liberdade, with a metro station just 10 meters away, allowing easy access throughout the city.
The hostel is just 2 minutes walk from the Marquês de Pombal, with the main monument featuring a time of rebirth of the city (after the earthquake of 1755).
Near, in Bairro Alto, tourists can find Bars and Fado Houses and spend a pleasant evening.
Also nearby is 'Baixa Pombalina', São Jorge's Castle, 'Sé de Lisboa', 'Alfama' and the 'Elevador de Santa Justa'.
As for food in the area of 'Restauradores' is a large number of Portuguese, Italian, Indian and Chinese Restaurants.

The lady in charge doesn't speak any foreign languages, but this is no problem, especially if you book in advance via internet. The hostel is not difficult to find, but there is no clear sign indicating which buzzer to press - the hostel is on the second floor by the way.
The rooms and facilities are simple and clean - good value. However, it might get a bit noisy at times if you stay in a room facing the street. And mind: There is no heating in the room, so if you plan to come in winter, take a hot-water-bottle with you!

i stayed there this april for 15 days.I loved the location as it was right on the center,a recently renovated building,clean and not at all noisy. the only negative i could find is that there was only a microwave but not an oven so it was impossible to cook.. i would recommend this to anyone looking for a very cheap accomodation in the center of lisbon
