Very good location close to the ferry, clean, nice stuff

My companion and I stayed for three nights whilst visiting the WW1 sites on the Gallipoli peninsula.
At all times the staff were extremely friendly and able to assist two, mostly drunken Irish men, who were way off base with Turkish customs and traditions!
The day time manager at reception had excellent English and was most able to assist us in booking a guided tour. At night time, Emin was on reception. He also has excellent English, has spent time in the US working in the tourist industry, and has a great sense of irony and humour!
I sincerely recommend the Anzac Hotel for the incidental tourist! It is not luxury but;
- the rooms are clean, warm (air con) and secure,
- there is a safe in each room,
- the brekfast is "interesting" for a westerner used to bacon, egg and fried bread, but most satisfying and enjoyable!
- the location is perfect for the local bars, restaurants, cafes, clubs and the ferries to Kiltihbar and Ecehabat,
- the staff are just great!,
- they show movies in the evenings ( Gallipoli with Mel Gibson and Troy with Brad Pitt) and they serve a cool bottle of Effees beer!
I have no hesitation in recommending the Anzac. You will get excellent value for money!

Good hotel in a very central location. The staff were friendly enough. A few things didn't work (like the heater in my room and internet terminal I was on) but generally it was ok. Very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff were helpful with maps and directions for a day of sightseeing. No parking at the hotel, but the staff took my car and parked it and brought it back around in the morning, so no problems. I'd recommend it as a place to stay in Cannakkle.
