Welcome to the coolest hostel in Edmonton, the capital of Alberta.

We have a variety of room types ranging from 4 to 6 bed dorms to private rooms. With our central downtown location, we are close to everything!

We have a variety of room types ranging from 4 to 6 bed dorms to private rooms. With our central downtown location, we are close to everything! We have a pub called The Jekyll and Hyde downstairs that has great live music every Friday night and serves very good reasonably priced food.

We have internet terminals as well as wi-fi, laundry facilities, a TV room, great common areas and a full self-catering kitchen! Also, all the room doors have keycard access providing excellent security for your belongings.

Taxes are 10% on top of the prices quoted and will be charged at check in.

Please note that when booking a private room a credit card is required upon check in and it must be under the name of the guest checking in.

We are a traveler’s backpacker’s hostel and we accommodate travelers from all over except those residing in the Edmonton metropolitan area.

Our dorms ranging from 4 to 6 beds also have individual lockers (you provide the lock) that can take the largest backpack with ease. Our private rooms range from a queen bed, a Houston bed or two double beds. All rooms have en suite washrooms.

All linen, blankets and towels are also included with your stay at no extra cost.

Well in the center of downtown Edmonton, GO Backpackers Hostel has taken over what was formerly known as the Riverview Inn.

To get here:

Airport: Take Sky Shuttle–Downtown and request our stop.

Greyhound Station: 8-minute walk or 3-minute taxi ride.

Train Station: Taxi in about 12 minutes or take bus #12 to Kingsway Mall and switch to bus #9. Get off the Edmonton Journal Building and walk west 1 block.

We are a block away from both the Central and the Bay LRT stations which connect by light rapid transit to the University of Alberta, Commonwealth stadium, Rexall Place (home of the Edmonton Oilers) and the rest of downtown.
