Cos'è che rende il nostro ostello un 'Grand Hostel'? Tanto per iniziare l'edificio storico dove ci troviamo, situato nel cuore di Berlino.
Ma quello che ci differenzia davvero dagli altri ostelli a Berlino sono le elevate prestazioni di servizio, pari a quelle di un hotel, che senza alcun dubbio ti convinceranno a scegliere il Grand Hostel Berlin come tua prossima meta.
!!! BERLIN SPECIAL:
Per tutti quelli che prenoteranno tramite HostelsClub nel periodo che va dal 1 al 15 di luglio offriamo uno sconto di 5 al check in. Quelli che invece prenoteranno per la seconda metà di luglio offriamo un tour gratuito alla scoperta di Berlino (mercoledì e venerdì) oppure la possibilità di noleggiare gratuitamente una bici per mezza giornata.
La reception è aperta 24 ore su 24 (caratteristica fondamentale per gli ostelli a Berlino, visto che la città non dorme mai!), con possibilità di check-in anticipato o check-out tardivo (se la camera è disponibile); bagni moderni e puliti; the pomeridiano gratis; interni moderni; grandi armadi con serratura; una stanza per i bagagli;
personale informato e disponibile; una mappa di Berlino gratuita, una ricca prima colazione servita fino alle 14; varie specialità di caffè e un'ampia selezione di torte fatte in casa.
E non mancherà mai una birra alla spina in attesa per te presso il nostro bar, una sala musica e televisione, un zona pubblica con Internet, visite alla città, noleggio biciclette e, naturalmente, saremo sempre a tua disposizione - 24 ore al giorno!

The three of us just loved this hostel! We stayed in a private double room & a private single room (both with shared toilet/bathroom); but they have dorms as well. The price is very reasonable, I would say cheap, considering what`s on offer. The hostel is right in the heart of Berlin, clean (it`s spotless!), housed in an old refurbished building with loads of character & very modern (no keys for the doors, just a code that you input on a number panel). The rooms are really spacious, with high ceilings, extremely comfortable beds, wardrobe, table & chair. Nice & warm over the winter, & you can control the heat in your room. The Hostel has really cosy common rooms to chill out: smoking room, computer room, bar...& they serve lovely, very reasonable priced breakfast from €2, & all sorts of hot/cold drinks. It just feels like you`re sharing a big house with a bunch of friends; as you arrive, they welcome you with a cup of hot chocolate, & offer you a free Berlin map.
For me, one of the best things was the staff. So friendly & helpful, every single one of them; they`re there to advice you on anything from where to go out for a drink, what bus tours are available...anything & everything, & everyone speaks perfect english, as well as several other languages, as members of staff are from a variety of countries.
You have as well the rare choice of a late check out time, which can be arranged depending on availability, but if you`re travelling back home later in the day, like us, you can always leave your luggage safely on their "Luggage room" & collect it when you`re ready to go, as well as being welcome to hang around the hostel & use their facilities, on the day you check out. This is so useful: we got a whole extra day in Berlin after checking out, without having to worry about our luggage, etc...& even had a little rest & a coffee in one of the common rooms just before leaving to catch our plane. I will definitely be staying in this hostel next time I`m in Berlin. I mean, there`s nowhere else I`d rather be. Perfect!

What makes us to a Grand Hostel? Certainly not just the historical building situated in the heart of Berlin. But the infrastructure of a hostel and the service benefits of a hotel will most definitely convince you.
We offer a 24 hour reception desk, early check in or late check out (if available) free of charge, modern and clean sanitary facilities, an invitation to an afternoon tee, modern interior fittings, large lockable cupboards, a luggage room, informative staff, a map of Berlin free of charge, a luscious breakfast till 2pm, coffee specialties, self made cakes and there will always be a cold beer waiting for you at our bar, a music and television room, a public internet counter, city tours, bike rental and of course we will always have a free minute or two for you and all that 24 hours a day!
