As a single female traveller, I was looking for an affordable private room that is central, clean and safe. Hotel Erenler provides exactly that. A simple room with comfortable bed & basin, door key, spacious shower rooms with hot water, relative privacy & quiet together with friendly & helpful staff made my stay at Hotel Erenler a pleasure. The location could not be more convenient for seeing the old city on foot and is a stone's throw from public transport. For the budget conscious traveller Hotel Erenler is all that you need in Istanbul. There are also kitchen and lounge facilities but I did not need or use these. I would definitely stay at Hotel Erenler again :-)))

the location was very convinient. its only 2minuits from the tram station. reservation was flexible. I could change the schedule of reservation without any charge.

Great location free wifi. Could have been cleaner though. Rooms were tiny shower practically over the toilet!

This hotel is very basic and perhaps not the most comfortable but it is CHEAP, centrally located and the management are genuinely very friendly and helpful.

The location is simply fantastic: walking distance to almost all the historical locations in the Sultanahmet area without having to pay a steep rate. It is on a quiet street with Gulhane Park a stone's throw from there. As a single female travelling alone, I felt safe here. The management run by two brothers is very helpful. Would recommend it to budget travellers who want to avoid the crush of sultanahmet area.

This hotel is absolutely perfect for any backpacker.
Its location is very good near Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The tram station Gülhane is just up the road.
The hotels rooms are very clean and nice. Wooden floor, red sheets and modern Ikea lamp and cupboard make it a comfortable place. Some double rooms have Turkish television. Shared shower and toilet are also clean.
The staff is incredibly friendly. They let us stay in a double room with bathroom for the price of a shared room. They are happy to recommend places to see in Istanbul and like to chat about anything.
On our second last day in Istanbul I lost my bag with the hotel room key inside. The hotel people were very nice, not angry at all, changed the lock and didn't even want any money for it!
On our last day, my boyfriend had to leave early in the morning, so that I was alone for one day in Istanbul. We asked if I could have the hotel room for a bit longer than check out time and pay a bit extra. They let me stay antoher 12 hours - but wouldn't make me pay.
Knowing that I had hardly any money left for my last day, they even offerend me free breakfast.
They made sure my Shuttle bus to the airport really picked me up and gave us a free DVD on Istanbul.
We stayed in this hotel twice and would recommend it to any other travelers.
Their motto is: If you are nice to them, one guest brings ten other guests.
